Carbon Fiber steering wheel from Signature Lux installed

I am super excited to install this @Signature Lux carbon fiber steering wheel today! Just opened it up and the smell threw me back to my high school days making fiberglass subwoofer enclosures! This thing looks freaking rad!

UPDATE:

It is installed and looks freaking AWESOME!!! I'm going to work on the install video this evening. Check it out in all it's glory!

Does this one have heat in it? That has been the one major hangup from just pulling the trigger on an ebay unit

It does have heat and it is all hooked up but I haven’t turned it on to try it on it yet cuz it’s already 85 and in the sun so it is too hot to tell if it is actually heating up more haha.

It wasn’t too bad at all. I got footage of the whole thing, I just have to edit it so I can post it. I took my time and it took about 2 hours. Most of the time spent switching all the buttons and wiring over to the new wheel.

Signature Lux has an option to check steering wheel heating. So it seems it can have the heating if optioned:

Yes the heating question was answered above, I typically wear driving gloves if needed for warmth, old school..but yeah that looks like a finely finished product and a very clean install. I hope to see much more of these type of high quality products in the future. Good things!

Great job as always! The video was fantastic. A little disappointed to see there was only a hexagon as opposed to a full multipoint spline keeping the wheel on. I feel like my wheel is off by what would be "one" spline. Either way, Im enjoying living vicariously through you.

Yeah, but thats something I cant do in my garage for free.

Sure you can, turn one tie rod one way and the other tie rod the exact same amount the opposite way, provided it was already in alignment it will still be.
