Has anyone had issues with CarPlay? It randomly loses sound. It will show that Pandora (or whatever else) is playing but no sound. It will usually correct itself when I turn off the truck and restart, but this isn't always convenient. Am I missing something I should be doing?

Yep, same issue in my XLT, but not that often. Sometimes when I restart the car I have found the issue persists, but usually that corrects it.

Sometimes this requires a reboot but I can normally get audio to come back by closing the music app on my phone and trying again.

Dumb question. How do you reboot?
Restarting the car can resolve it, but that's not convenient at all. Instead try the method the other member mentioned and switch to the radio and let that play for a minute then try switching back to CarPlay. This is the method I also used when I experienced it. (Hasn't happened in a while, knock on wood)

This happens on my Bronco (considering a ranger in the future, been stalking here for a long time haha), but i usually toggle Carplay off on my phone, then back on and it works just fine.

I haven't figured otu exactly what the issue is, but it seems like if i put the phone on the wireless charging pad the same time i start the car, that it glitches and does this.

+1 for CarPlay issues in the Ranger Raptor. Randomly loses sound and will even stop responding at times. Never had a CarPlay issue with my 2020 Explorer ST.

Hey guys, same here. Eventually it happens. Usually for me, it's when I get back into the truck, after the gym for example, and I'll see pandora come up and play a song, but no volume and the song is advancing like it's playing. The fix seems to be to turn off carplay (the system will drop the phone, then turn it back on and the system will pick the phone back up).

Not the biggest problem, but still crap. Is Ford going to fix this? Seems like system needs a firmware update. Come on Ford, this is bush league bullshit.

Happens once in a while. I just disconnect my phone from CarPlay on the truck touchscreen under phone settings. Then reconnect. Always works.
