Hello,
2025 2.7 XLT 301A. I've got a weird clicking sound coming from behind the dash. Sounds like a relay click or something like that. With the hood open, I've been able to locate it from the fuse box and ABS system area. Not sure it is from these parts or very close aroud. Started to make the sound somewhere after 2000km and now at 8000km, doesn't get worse or better.
It mostly do it when I drive. On the video, you can hear me shifting into D and going forward at slow speeds. At higher speed it is more difficult to hear it, but pretty sure it is still there. It also happen randomly, even if the truck is not started. Sometimes I just get into the truck, do nothing and I hear it, as well when I shut the engine off and exit the truck. It is very less frequent than when I drive slowly around. I have no idea what triggers that annoying clicking sound. I did a road test with a Ford tech, and it never did it once. Even though I hear it every single time when i'm not at the dealer.
So it is a bit hard to locate since I can't drive it and have my face under the hood at the same time.
You can hear it a total of 4 times in the 20 seconds video.
. I know it doesn't sound loud but it is because my cellphone capture the every other sounds around. I guarantee it is loud enough to drive me crazy.
Any of you had a similar problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
