Normally when I clear coat I'm going for the shiney look so I use 2 part clear coat with my spray gun. But NAPA and the other local part stores don't carry matte clear or flat clear for spary guns. I found this at Orielly's Auto Parts. What kind of clear coat did you use?

I received my 2024 Ranger XLT last week, I really like the looks except for the silver lower front bumper valence. Does anyone know if Ford has that part in black matt like the rest of the front end? If so, do you think it would be a hard part to remove and replace?
Ever since I read this post about the silver lower bumper I could not look at my truck without the silver shouting out to me.
I was able to take the part off the truck and painted it to match the Hot Pepper Red. Don't worry if it isn't a precise match since the grill separates the body color to the lower panel. The Bull Guard came off my Gen5 2020 Ranger and it fit without modifying. (Lots of deer out here)

That is not true. There are several bolts underneath and several push rivet thingys. Once you remove them, it’s just held by retaining clips. The black part above comes off with it.Thanks Bob, the boday shops I went to said most of the front end plastic (grill etc.) has to be removed to take the siver piece off to be painted. Did you find that to be true? How hard was it to do? Thanks, Tom
I looked at taking mine off prior to having mine vinyl wrapped, the wrapper said leave it on. I believe there are bolts (maybe 6) and clips. The info I saw didn’t say other stuff needed to be removed. Thanks Bob, the boday shops I went to said most of the front end plastic (grill etc.) has to be removed to take the siver piece off to be painted. I like this a lot. I was thinking about trying to match the bumber color, but I think the texture and color you did work really well. Which brand and color bedliner paint/clear did you use for the front plastic piece?Front plastic- Bedliner and clearcoat
Skid- Powdercoat.
Take off the silver bumper and the Sensors pop right out.

Even with Rust-Oleum, they have several different products. Can you send links or pictures of the paints you used? Thanks.
I tried flat/matte black and then tried to color match the bumper black, neither came out well- The best look was the following:
Take off, sand, primer x2, bed liner x3 (please spray at a good distance, I started to close and had to re-do), clear coat x3. Used Rust-Oleum brand for everything.
It’s held up really well over 4k miles. I take extra care when washing do to the grip of the paint.
