I did both mods to my Raptor. I PTM'd the skid plate and bumper trim to match the bumper and I did the license plate bracket flip mod. IMO both mods looked better than stock but my license plate bracket flip mod didn't work as planned. It blocked the front collision assist sensor so my front collision assist and adaptive cruise didn't work. :(

Is that Ernie Irvan's car on the wall?

Nice thank you. I've got a few things I'm planning to paint, so trying to piece it all together to do it at the same time.

Thanks Bob, the boday shops I went to said most of the front end plastic (grill etc.) has to be removed to take the siver piece off to be painted. Did you find that to be true? How hard was it to do? Thanks, Tom
I only took off the lower silver plastic piece, nothing else. There are 6 screws under the silver bumper and two torx screws inside that will reveal themselves when you wonder why it doesn't come loose. Most of the silver bumper is snapped in and wedging it out didn't cause any problems. I didn't have any sensors, maybe it is only the Raptor that has them. This was not a time consuming job. The paint drying took the longest. Bob

Well I finally did it. I pulled it all off and painted it. Color matches extremely well I ordered some Ford (JNV) paint and put it in a Harbor Freight paint gun. Here’s how the skid plate turned out. I’ll post a picture of the trim piece too when it’s on the truck tomorrow.

@Velociraptor looks great. I need to paint mine as well. Did you just paint over the parking sensors?

Once you take the trim piece off which isn’t very difficult you can pop the sensors out pretty easily and then remove the rubber grommet around them. I painted them separately. I just did 1 coat primer, 1 coat base and 1 coat matte clear because I was not sure how much paint would affect the sensors. But mine still work fine.

All I can say here is that if you're going to do this, and you're going to off-road a bunch, use an easily found spray paint so you can touch it up each time you touch your bumper to rocks.

Not a problem for the pavement princesses.

Looks like the 2025 Ranger XLT/Lariat with black appearance package comes with a black lower valance instead of the silver one. Guess it will be a while before enough pics come out to tell if its black/dark gray/ matt or shiney. I would hope it can be ordered this way so I can just swap out the ugly silver one myself. Probably a bit of a wait though before they are available...
