I have a 2025 Lariat on order and as with every other vehicle I've owned I'll buy a new set of rims and dedicated snow tires. I'll be getting two new sets of tires, one all-terrain, and one set of snow tires. My snow tire of choice is the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 and the all-terrain I want is Nokian Outpost nAT, but the challenge is that it doesn't seem that either tire come in either 265/55R18 or 255/70R17 so stock tire sizes aren't an option. I won't be lifting the truck and don't want wheel spacers.
That said, my first question is: would a 255/70R18 fit on the stock lariat fx4 18" rim without any rubbing or issues? It appears to be 1" taller than the stock tire and has the same width. I'd like to get the Outpost nAT on my stock rims for spring through fall.
Second, I'll get a new set of rims for the snow tires and I'm all sorts of confused now about offset. I've seen mention that the stock 18" rim has a +55 offset, but I don't see any aftermarket rims with that much offset. So if I get a rim with less offset, the tire will be closer to the wheel well, right? So less tolerance for taller or wider tires if I get rims with less offset than +55? I'm thinking of the G-FX TR26 in 18x9 but it seems to have 0 offset and the snow tires I want are available in 265/65R18. Would these work together on my stock truck without issues?
Many thanks for any help, and thanks to for others who shared their stories/journeys about getting different tire brands and sizes.
