Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some guidance from anyone familiar with Ford warranties or Ranger Raptors specifically.
I have a 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor with about 26,000 miles. The truck has been driven all over the United States and has seen normal off-road driving consistent with how the Ranger Raptor is intended to be used. It has not been abused, modified, or used for anything extreme beyond typical on-road and light/moderate off-road use. No accidents or known impacts.
I recently noticed what looks like rust and possible damage along part of the undercarriage/frame area. I attached a couple photos showing:
My questions:
Before I take it to the dealer, I wanted to see what others’ experiences have been so I know what to expect and how to approach the service department.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

- Surface rust forming along the edge of a crossmember/undercarriage component
- What looks like exposed metal or coating failure in certain areas
My questions:
- Would this typically fall under Ford’s corrosion or bumper-to-bumper warranty?
- Is this considered normal surface rust, or something Ford might classify as environmental or external damage (road salt, climate exposure, off-road conditions, etc.)?
- Has anyone had success getting similar undercarriage issues covered on a newer Ford (especially Raptors)?
Before I take it to the dealer, I wanted to see what others’ experiences have been so I know what to expect and how to approach the service department.
