Deep Sleep Mode

My 2024 XLT 2.3 keeps giving me a message that it is in deep sleep mode. It doesn’t want to start or unlock from the app. But it starts every time from the truck and I am driving it every day. I just turned 5,000 miles last week.

Take it in and have the battery check. You'll get that message when battery goes low, or the truck sits unused for several days.

That should provide some insight.

Could be a bad battery. Could be the bms sensor.
Most likely it is working as designed.

Are you making a lot of short trips?

Mine did that the other day. I'm at about 600 miles. All the locking unlocking playing with the big screen, learning the steering wheel buttons. start /shut down without driving..... No surprise. So I had to take it out for a Sunday drive in the mountains. Oh darn...

If the truck is gonna sit more that a few days, I plug in a trickle charger. BMS only allows a charge up to 85 % I believe, so deep sleep doesn't take long to kick in. This somehow saves fuel (yea whatever).... BMS sucks !!! I believe the 85% can be increased with Forscan....

i just found it while looking through all the sections. i don't remember which one. it said 85 next to the block though so i opened it and changed it to 93 or 95 and hit save. i didn;t use the section where you have to change the numbers in the blocks
