Good afternoon, fellow ranger enthusiasts. I finished up my Bullet Point mounting system in my Ranger this morning and got it all installed and wired up. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Still a bit bummed that i haven't been about to find an aftermarket product that would have worked for this like i have had in my old Jeep Gladiator. It is really solid and does the job quite well but it did require a bit of work to get finished up. Here is a photo of it and the video i made this morning.

Cheers,
Kyle (aka FLABERDOOPIN)

Followed all your YouTube videos as I wait (and wait) for my RR order to get a build date. Great stuff, keep it up!

I use the kydex material in similar fashion, very firm and easy to work with maybe not aluminum stout but almost and very adjustable with heat to change shape. Thanks for the video.

Sorry, to each their own, but this looks like a huge mess. You can mount that radio anywhere and run a cable to the handset instead of having it up on the dash blocking the center channel speaker.

I've usually mounted radio equipment under the seat or somewhere out of sight. Just a lot going on there.

That's nice and clean -- did you just run the cable inside the storage box or is it easy to remove those trim panels? I'm looking to put the radio on the back wall and do this same kind of setup for the handset (or maybe under the driver's side somewhere under the trailer controller or something, not quite sure).

Do you have pics of the inside of your storage compartment? Just curious if you went through there or if the cable is hidden under panels.

Also - @KayaPayaPigDog - one of your previous videos you mentioned you put the radio up front because the speaker is on the radio itself. You can switch it to just use the handset speaker. From the MXT575 manual (page 26):

Centre console box is empty, all trim removes easily with a few bolts. Plenty of room for radio unit behind glovebox with aux power behind passenger kick panel ready to go.

I prefer for it all to be out of sight for the 90% of the time that it's not in use.

How did you do this install? What radio is that?

It's GME radio. If not available in US the Uniden equivalents are equally as good. To install remove centre console, it's not too difficult. 2 bolts each side and slide the gear selector surround forward.

Any chance you have more pictures or can mark out where exactly you put the radio and drew power from?

Looking at an mxt575 install in a few weeks from now.

that Is one clean looking build. Was actually looking for ideas on how and where to put a radio… think I found it 😜
I also like your idea of putting the receiver behind the glovebox because after all, how many times am I going to change frequency really. Will just have to check the sound when it’s behind there. Otherwise maybe under the seat or on a molle panel above or behind the seat.

Even better, these receivers (like the Midland MXT575) let you control everything from that handset so you never need to do anything with the actual radio body.

And as this thread kinda takes a turn I do want to recognize the work Kyle did. I think the real victory is figuring out how to make the top speaker grill rigid and a mount for whatever people want. Once you have that plate figured out and mounted you can mount anything.

Nice work man!
