Do Aux Switches All Have Power All The Time or...

Or do some only have power under certain circumstances? I'm wiring up a M&R light bar that has both white and amber lights. I'd like the amber to be on whenever the truck is running (like DRL) and the white to be on/off with a switch. If there is a switch that only supplies power when the truck is on or DRL is on, that would be the switch I'd like to use for the amber.

Thanks. I'd like the amber to be switched on the Aux, but also want to leave the switch on when I get out of the truck. There may be times I don't want the amber to be on.

Aux are on with ignition. My amber are tied to aux and are on as long as the ignition switch is.

I ran my drl off switch #1, for my Ditch and front light bar. powered down when the truck is off. #1 ampacity is so low it’s not good for much else.

I found that the Aux switches are powered on with ignition on and during delay accessory period (truck off, but door hasn't been opened). That will work for my purposes.

I ran the amber from Aux1 and the white from Aux2. I leave Aux1 flipped so the amber is on anytime the truck is on regardless of headlights. This way it gives me flexibility if I ever want it.

I did similar. Amber on 1 (left switched on) and white on Aux 5.

Auxiliary switches are on when the key is on. Doesn’t matter if the engine is running. Page 515 in owners manual explains what switch is where on the truck.

The switches are labeled AUX 1 through AUX 6.

The auxiliary switches only operate when the delay accessory is active, regardless of​

whether the engine is running or the ignition position.

We recommend that you leave the engine running to maintain battery charge when using the switches for an extended time or when using higher current draw accessories.

When a switch is turned on, the indicator light on the switch illuminates and the circuit provides power to the device wired to that switch.​

The M&R Pro I installed are ridiculously bright. My favorite addition to this truck so far. We live out, no ambient or street lights so dark is DARK. I'm amazed at this thing.

I have ditch lights on aux 1. It's wired to a relay that hooks to the battery.

Which amber and white lights are you referring to here? Lights that you added on? Can you send photos?
