No diesel for Wildtrak (MX)

They have BETTER headlights. Seen them first hand. $ 54,800 usd (direct conversion)
Wildtrak 4x4 with 4A Awd differential, leather, rear rollbar and side bed bars, electric sliding tonneau (super useful i have it), rear bed steps, only rear backup camera, black headliner and trim. Made in South Africa. It seems to be equipped as the Australian Versions.
It's nice until you realize relative to local wages, a new Ford Ranger is roughly 6 times harder to afford for an average earner in Mexico than for an average earner in the US.

Your current administration are doing their best to correct that imbalance.

Ford does that with every generation/model/trim now. They start out with lots of bells and whistles and every year remove a few. Happened with my '21 Bronco Sport, then with my '23 Maverick, now with the Rangers. '25 looks to be the peak. It's all downhill from there.
Not to forget the Explorers, talk about decontenting with each job cycle within each model year!! Crazy!!

Hey if we're all poor at least we won't have to worry about millions of economic migrants anymore. I'd be satisfied with a simpler life, much like my ancestors lived for thousands of years.

So far I have seen the lariats with reflector headlights were made before July, but I did find a couple of lariats with reflectors that was assembled in early July. And for sure the lariats with projector headlights are made from late June (as early as June 26). So I guess Ford now is not only going cheaper, but also doing mix and match?
I doubt there were any 2026 Lariat with the advanced LED headlights at all. One of the first things I noticed on the build sheets when they first came out Sep/Oct 2025 is that the Lariats now came with reflector headlights. The ROW higher end Rangers (Australia has 9 models, NOT including the hybrids) still have advanced LED projectors as well as leather. Cutting the projector headlights and leather was definitely a cost cutting measure that pretty much shows what Ford thinks about the NA Rangers.

I hate that people feel that bad buying a new truck. I was salty too, no vented seats, no AWD, no AC in the rear felt like cost cutting to me, too. But I'm happy with the Ranger. I installed Openpilot and none of the other midsizers except the not-a-real truck Ridgeline can do it. And the Ridgeline doesn't have vented seats either.
Rather than take up space on this forum, think I'll start one about Comma 4 (Openpilot) you mentioned. Comma.AI has several new open AI versions of the original that stimulate and improve on most of the blueoval features EXCEPT navigation. Would like to get input on that plus other programs that are out there and see how many users have it and the results they are getting. I am thinking about installing it in my 24 Lariat. It's loaded with all options except the FX package.

I had no idea there were so many different headlights on Rangers. I just thought an LED is an LED
(All my previous vehicles had halogen bulbs that needed to be changed yourself) 👀

They're unhappy that they can't get anything closer to MSRP on them. That's part of the reason why the Tremor is coming back - to close the price gap between the Lariats and Raptors.

Well, firstly there is no evidence one way or the other that the Tremor is coming back. Neither Ford Authority, nor AI, are credible sources. Besides, they've been trumpeting the return of the Tremor since 2024, including how its going to be released before the end of model year 2026, which is very close to being over. Until Detroit officially comments, which they haven't, its only rumor, speculation, and wishful thinking.

De-contenting all of the best features out of the Lariat, and making other previously included features like wireless charging and Power Pro optional isn't going "to close the price gap between the Lariats and Raptors," its actually making it worse. A 2026 Ranger Lariat spec'ed the same as mine, adding back in as many of the previously standard, but now optional features as I could, and minus the previous Lariat advanced LED headlights and leather which are no longer available, period, has a $2000 Net MSRP increase over 2025, yet the Base MSRP only increased by $100 over the 2025. Ergo, Ford is making people pay more for much less.

The reasons why I believe they're going to introduce a 2027 Tremor:

1. Lariats are going for well under MSRP. Mine was about 20% off. Raptors are rarely going for much less than MSRP. The difference in sales price between my 2025 Lariat and a Raptor is $15,000...that's a lot of cash between trims on a midsize truck!

2. The Maverick saw both a Tremor and Lobo trim added after the initial launch. Easy way to get in the media again and juice sales by adding slightly different parts. No new engine. No new transmission. Same with what I believe they'll do with the Ranger Tremor.

Well that's kinda true, Lariats are being discounted, Pierre Ford is discounting a bit, Boise Ford dealers are discounting the Lariats on average by about $5K. Anchorage Ford, not at all. Now I can understand why dealers are having to discount them to move them, primarily because the 2026 Ranger Lariat has been de-contented to the point its pretty much an XLT anymore. I looked at a 2026 Lariat and just said no. The 2024 and 2025s Lariats are in essence the last years of a true Ranger Lariat; there is absolutely no way I would trade my 2025 for a 2026, even if they offered me an across the board trade, with a free 10/100,000 warranty.

I'm not sure where you are getting your Lariat and Raptor prices from, but they are seriously skewed. A fully dressed 2026 2.7L Ranger Lariat (spec'ed as close to my 2025 as I can get it) has an all in MSRP of $57,850, about $2,300 more than my non-stripped 2025. A 2026 Ranger Raptor with all the same options as my 2025 Lariat comes in at a staggering $60,780, (did not add the ugly graphics package) a difference of $2930, not even remotely close to the $15,000 you came up with. And my numbers come directly from Ford.com, so you are welcome to check them for yourself.

You're talking about MSRP and the discounts which they're advertising. And they still can't move them. I'm talking about the actual sales price that no one will see unless you're on a forum like this or the dealer.

My 2025 truck was purchased at Pierre. Almost 20% off on a 2025. Absolutely no budging on Raptor pricing.

So my Lariat, ~44k. Raptor, 60k.

So say they sticker a Tremor at 57k and they sell it at MSRP when new or close to it, then discount a few more k after demand dies down...maybe they even increase the Raptor price given the competition.
