I can see that being handy. Even more so with a hybrid where the ICE would not have to start to move forward/backward short distances. I park my Ranger a couple of inches from the garage rear wall and sometimes I manually push it back to check oil or hang bicycles on ceiling hooks. It would be great for that. Even better, and less expensive, let me do it with voice commands. "Hey Ranger, move backwards 18 inches." Or allow me to do it with the Ford app.

Where do they get these ideas? I've been driving for 50 years and not once have I ever thought I needed to do this with any vehicle I've owned. It's more pointless technology to break and the Ranger has enough of that already.

I can definitely see it being useful when trying to hook up a trailer, but with all the cameras now it is less necessary.

Have a similar system on our TT - it's called the Marriage Saver.
With Pro-Trailer assist, less needed for general use, but the ability to point in any direction at campsites let you get the best view / orientation for picnic table, etc. (we don't camp at hookup sites, so it is almost never a simple back-in or pull-through)
