If a dealership won’t respond to your requests;

Always get their service attendants name at the beginning of the conversation.

Report the poor service to their Service Manager and the GM.

Then demand the appropriate service rather the want to or not.

They’re inconveniencing you not the other way around. If you have time make a direct visit to the GM while your their.👍🇺🇸

Call another dealer, most are reporting around 300 for the install, my dealer also confirmed its around that mark when I asked him to quote it when mine arrives. Other wise not much you can do.
That’s exactly what I did! The service writer at the dealership I normally use originally tried to send me to an aftermarket parts installer. I spoke to the service manager at that dealership, and he insisted that I was going to have to leave my RR with them all day, and that it might take 3-4 hours because of their “slow Internet”. I called another dealer in my area and the service writer quoted me $281.99 for the complete installation, set up an appointment for me, and told me that they would complete the work while I waited. I don’t know if these dealerships realize, or maybe they don’t care, but one of them just lost a loyal customer, and the other dealership just gained one. ;-)

Gee wiz and you’ve just proven that it’s all owner related denials……….…..thanks for the affirmation/comfirmation. Looks like you may need to make better choices, with what dealerships you work for. (Mechanic or service attendant?)

Let’s see, again………..over 40 years + owning Fords with Ford Performance, Mountune and Cobb performance parts on various models………….never had a warranty denial, go figure……………. Even a complete clutch warrantied on a GT500, with a Ford Performance Supercharger and tune upgrade. Thanks again Capt. Obvious, for affirming owner stupidity.

Maybe I need to post it again, to prove the point about developing a good relationship with a specific dealership GM and service manager?

Pushing misinformation to what is contrary to Ford Performance has commented, is an issue for owners attempting to find out the truth. Just like others, I can make up mind and have, without the naysayers pushing false misinformation.

As far as getting it……you don’t speak for anyone else or myself, just yourself. So what’s your point? You’re agreeing with what I said…………..

Now, you may have read it 10 times or the references to the post #170. However, I posted it twice in its entirety in the original thread and nothing here, except reference to it in several posts for owners, who didn’t read it. So, you can stop with your false agenda and commentary.

Oh yeah, by chance are you purchasing and installing the Ford Performance RR tune by chance…………? 🫵😉🇺🇸
I don’t have a dog in this fight, so this is just an observation. Ranger/Hobb, you may very well be one of the most knowledgeable people on this board, and IF YOU DIDN’T COME ACROSS AS A TOTAL ASSHAT, people might actually enjoy reading your posts and gain an appreciation for that knowledge.
Just Say’n. 😉

Link the post if you find It. I would like to see people back up their claims and share tips on how to improve if possible. I’m running 93 octane and I’m basically at sea level living in Florida.

here you go. Guy says he’s stock on 87 in the comments. He might be a member here? FL heat is what is most likely.

Redommended fuel for the Raptor is 91 octane minimum. Using 87 octane will pull timing and reduce hp.

The best performance will be gained with 91+ octane, at sea level with denser air. Lower temps will create higher hp.👍🇺🇸

He was carrying about a 1/4 tank more fuel than me and he was in 39° weather where it was about 85° for me.

I am really interested in the tranny reprograming. I read elsewhere it is quite significant. I can tell you coming from two vehicles with the ZF8HP (70 and 50), there is definitely room for improvement.

I'm in Florida also. Would you be willing to share the dealer and a contact? DM works if you'd rather not post it publicly. I'd be happy to pay them...having a terrible time finding someone to do the install around Tampa.

I had an appointment scheduled with AutoNation Ford St Petersburg this morning. Drove nearly an hour there one-way with tolls for an appt at 8am. When I got there, they couldn't find the appt, lucky me I had the email to prove I had an appointment. Little good that did me. When I scheduled, they told me an hour and they would stop and come talk to me if it would take longer as I told them I would need to wait for it based on the distance traveled. This morning that changed to, we need your vehicle overnight as there are 60 people in front of you. I had also mentioned I bought the Procal from a third party and this morning it become a problem that it wasn't purchased from them. Would have had to rent a vehicle due to their incompetence and by that time I had zero trust. Left and wont' ever be back. I'm willing to take a road trip to find a decent dealer to install it.
Let me know what you find. No dealer in Port St Lucie will do it either.
