You know that’s just the installer device don’t you? Assume you know the Tune a tune Ed’s to be downloaded to the box before they can install it. Should be part of the Installers price. But does require you to have a Ford PerfAccount and get the Validation code sent to you before it can be downloaded to the box. Hope it all goes, or went well for you. I just ordered one fir my RR and am looking fir an installer now.Received my Ford PROCAL Tool from Lethal Performance just now. I’ll be installing it this week with ASE Mechanic certification or Ford Dealership which ever happens first.
I’ll post impressions after the install, of driving and fuel mileage for a couple of days.

Yes you can, but you lose the 3yr/36k mile warranty. It covers the basic drive train warranty period since you got your RR. Doesn’t add 3yr/36k to existing warranty from installation date. All other standard warranty items retail covered by Ford.I was wondering if you can install it yourself
Yes, you can install it yourself, it’s very easy to do.. However you’ll lose the 3 years/36 thousand mile warranty, “ on the Procal tool and the tune only!” Has nothing to do with the trucks factory warranty and doesn’t affect it.I was wondering if you can install it yourself
Everything was provided from Lethal. Already been there done that, with this truck and several other Fords we’ve owned as well. You know that’s just the installer device don’t you? I can with certainty……….Bottomline, I’ve already spoken to Ford Performance, Ford Warranty Department, my dealership GM & Service Manger and they‘ve all come to same consensus; My concern remains the impact on the extended warranty I purchased from Ford - that is still a very gray area and not getting straight answers from Ford on that. So, I’m just gonna cancel my extended warranty and tune it haha! But don’t think anyone here can state with certainty how this will impact the extended warranty…it’s intentionally gray and leaves way too much room for interpretation. I’m still gonna tune at some point after break in, I’m just gonna get a refund for the warranty in the process.
Ford is gonna have an issue here with lost revenue unless they make it clear that extended warranties are not impacted - the lost revenue from my $2K warranty is likely greater than the $800K tune (depending on how reliable the truck is of course).
This is something to inquire with Levittown directly. They’re a phone call away.I received my ProCal today from Levittown Ford but it shows it’s for the Bronco Raptor. Does this matter? My order did show it was for the Ranger Raptor but they sent the Bronco Raptor one.
I got mine from Levittown a few days ago and it says Ranger Raptor:I received my ProCal today from Levittown Ford but it shows it’s for the Bronco Raptor. Does this matter? My order did show it was for the Ranger Raptor but they sent the Bronco Raptor one.

A paid for extended is; owner paid not Ford provided and uneffected by any Ford Accessory or additional Ford Performance part. Thus the warranty extension is unaffected.
Additionally, all Ford Accessories and Ford Performance come with product warrant, which varies anywhere from 1 -3 years, and doesn’t affect the factory warranty.
You can do as you desire but don’t base it on personal speculation. I urge you to inquire directly as I have. You're paid extended warranty isn’t affected by the installation of the tune. Just as the standard factory warranty isn’t.
I’ve known this from previous Ford Performance installations of tunes, superchargers etc. I’ve had extended warranties on every Ford I’ve owned. I’ve used the extended warranty on all, when the factory warranty has expired and had no issues from dealerships or Ford.
Was able to talk with Ford Performance and got a new ID for it. Very easy process. I will be bringing it tomorrow to my local dealership in Baton Rouge for the install and get my paint chip above my taillight fixed and get new cam phasers installed.I got mine from Levittown a few days ago and it says Ranger Raptor:
I had my oil changed, recall performed, and tune installed on the same appointment with no issue.I have 3000 miles. I just got the Procal last week. Any issues with doing the oil change at the same time as the uploaded?
Oh boy………….the language is plain, simple, english, something lawyers are generally not avail too. Your professed profession, doesn’t have any validity, stroke or carry any weight here. That’s not what the language of their message and the PDF says exactly - it’s legally gray, right where they want it to be. You cannot say this with 100% certainty, at least for now.
I’m not trying to pull a “lawyer” card on you…but I’m a lawyer in NY and have reviewed countless documents like this that, on their surface, seem benign but in reality can be used by the company down the road to get out of coverage. They may honor it, they may not, and I assume that’s based on many variables (dealer relationship, actual issue, truck reliability, history, etc). That said, you cannot state with 100% certainty that my extended warranty is unaffected…at least not with what you have provided above nor what I have read in Ford’s documentation.
Ford monitors this forum as well…there’s a reason they aren’t chiming in…gray is what they want this to be (at least for now)!
