It’s a ‘24 XLT, I’m from central Pennsylvania and drive to various places in New Jersey about 6 times a month for my business. I did make a trip to Gatlinburg Tennessee last February for vacation. I change the oil every 5000 miles myself, I can’t afford to pay someone else to do it as often as it needs it. The only time it has been in the shop was the airbag recall, knock on wood,

Good to know but I was actually responding to user Orangebuds with nearly ten times your mileage, haha. Is it wrong to wonder if they actually have a 6th gen ranger? (No offense intended if it's legit, Orangebuds)

I live in Perry County, so most trips to New Jersey are on I78 so yup right through your area

How do you have time to live / do anything else besides drive? (and change your oil - which would be required every 7-8 days at 5k or 14-16 days at 10k mile intervals)
You've also spent at least $100k in fuel costs. Shoulda bought a Prius.

Quick analysis:
If we give the owner the absolute maximum possible time — from the beginning of 2024 Ranger production on August 21, 2023 through today, September 1, 2026:

• Time: 1,107 days
• Mileage: 687,245 miles
• Average: 621 miles/day
• That's 226,600 miles/year
• At 60 mph average driving speed, that's 10.35 hours of driving every single day
• At 70 mph: 8.87 hours/day

And that's assuming the truck somehow accumulated mileage before it was even delivered to a customer.

More realistic scenario

If the truck actually entered service around, say, March 1, 2024, we're talking about roughly:


~707 miles/day, every day, for 2½ years.
