Posting this to see if anyone else has run into this after installing the GOAT Offroad 2” front / 1” rear kit on a Ranger Raptor.

I had the GOAT kit installed along with their UCAs. After install/alignment, the shop (found them through GOAT) attempted to recalibrate the Live Valve suspension/ride height sensors, but the front would not calibrate correctly. From what I’m being told, the front is staying roughly 20 mm off.

The shop initially contacted GOAT and was told they had “never seen it before.” After that, I reached out to GOAT directly by both text and email. I specifically asked whether they had seen this calibration issue before on a Live Valve Ranger Raptor, and after the initial response, GOAT has gone radio silent. They have not responded to any of my follow-up texts or emails in over a week. They were pretty responsive by both when I was asking questions prior to ordering parts.

Has anyone else installed the GOAT kit on a Ranger Raptor and had the Live Valve calibration fail or end up that far off?

Did you have to adjust the sensor links/brackets, re-index anything, or do anything beyond the normal calibration?

Is anyone running it with the front still off by that amount, and if so, have you noticed any issues with drive modes, damping, errors, or ride quality?

For those familiar with the Live Valve system, would you personally continue driving the truck with the front calibration roughly 20 mm off, assuming no warning lights? Or would you keep pushing to get it corrected before putting more miles on it?

Basically, I’m trying to figure out whether I should “let it go” or whether being that far off could actually effect how the Live Valve system reads the truck and adjusts damping/drive modes.

Any input or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The calibration issue would have nothing to do with whether you used a GOAT spacer or any other brand.

If you can't get it to calibrate, you will notice additional harshness in the ride as the computer will think you have "dropped" the front (such as in a jump) and will firm up the shocks.

As far as getting them to cal... can't help you. It was a pretty simple procedure. Did they follow all the steps (i.e. put the truck in Eng Test mode, etc)?

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I’m planning to take it back to the shop for the pro tune soon, and I’ll specifically ask whether they put it in Engineering Test Mode and followed the full calibration procedure. That's super helpful. I'm not entirely opposed to attempting it myself either, but the shop seems pretty well versed in Ford specific off-road builds.

Just to make sure I’m not being unreasonable here — in your opinion, this isn’t something you’d just “let go” if the front is still reading 20 mm off? Because that seems to be the route GOAT and the shop are steering me.

Recalibrated with Eibach stprings no problem and then 1" spacers front and rear from Ranger lifts. All of mine almost 0 out.

Definitely don’t just “let it go”

you mention you replaced your front UCA's, so like the rear ride height sensors that get all the attention with covers and breaking, we also have similar sensors in the front that attach and move up and down with the front UCA. They mount on the Aft side I think. I'm having trouble finding a good picture right now online.

Check to make sure its installed correctly on that corner and none of the attachment brackets etc are bent or its broken completely. Not sure if the vertical rod is threaded on both ends and maybe it unscrewed alil during install causing the discrepancy in height? I'd start there vs thinking its a problem with the re calibration procedure not working.
