Nope. My truck didnt have them on the front. It has the factory tow hitch so I assume they use that in the back and go over a control arm in the front? So the tow hooks are not standard equipment? I thought they were used for tie downs during rail transport from the factory.
I took 2wd rigs places for many years that dumbfounded 4x4 guys before I bought my first 4wd. Even with a 4x4 off road I'm in 2hi far more than 4wd, even on sand... 4wd is not a substitute for skill....Maybe you should do more research on a four-wheel drive instead of trying to take a two-wheel drive truck in the sand. Maybe?

Yep, a shovel, jack and common sense will get you through. I always said off road abilities are 25% equipment and 75% know how.I took 2wd rigs places for many years that dumbfounded 4x4 guys before I bought my first 4wd. I only bought a 4wd truck because I wanted front tow hooks.![]()
The problem is people don’t know what stuck is. Stuck is when you have to walk out and/or call someone to pull/winch you out. AND the “stuck” vehicle cannot get out of the situation under its own power. All other “situations” are classified as Temporarily Delayed. Sometimes referred to as an adventure or detoured.Yep, a shovel, jack and common sense will get you through. I always said off road abilities are 25% equipment and 75% know
Anyone ever see the Matt's Offroad video where he got called out by a guy who thought he was stuck in his F150 Raptor? When Matt showed up he looked at it and said "I think I'll just drive this one out" and he did.
Matt has some really stuck vehicles. I watched a video the other day where a guy rescued a 200,000 lbs bull dozer that had been stuck in mud for year.Yep, a shovel, jack and common sense will get you through. I always said off road abilities are 25% equipment and 75% know how.
I drove a 2WD Toyota pickup through sand all the time. Threw some plywood in the back just in case.
