Horn sounding twice when getting into unlocked car

Hello,
I tried searching but could not find anything related…
This happens when getting into unlocked car parked in the garage… horn beeps twice before start button is even pressed and before the car is started… it happens sporadically so I have not figured out a reason…
Any suggestions?

You likely have a door ajar.

Does it happen when you open the door?
Mines beeps after remote start when I insert the key, if the door isn't shut completely.

Is your remote in your pocket. possibly hit a button while it in your pocket.

Bit of a necro, but I just finished installing the Perimeter Plus security upgrade in my 24 XLT and the manual said that the horn will honk twice at unlock to indicate that the alarm has been triggered while you were away.

Thank you… appreciate posting… the car is parked in the garage and unlocked… so not sure if this could have been triggered alarm

My 2024 Ranger is doing the same thing. Parked in garage unlocked and about 1 of 10 times when I get in it, it will honk twice. Everything works, but it’s annoying as others in the house are sleeping.
