Theoretically that's correct. Unless they enter more than one stock unit. Thanks BT. Just to be clear, "if" all dealers are only getting one Raptor allocation then a Priority Code of 20 would be the same as 80 because there are no other vehicles to compete against?
So correct, If they enter only the one order. But if they elect to put in several built differently to try to get one sooner, priority code could matter, as could how it was built. Options, color, etc. With multiple entered stock orders, the priority code could be more important.
So your assumption only applies should they enter only one stock Raptor in at this time.
Some dealers may go ahead too, and place several orders and put the priority code lowest on the one they are giving their #1 on the list just so they could give each person a print out and retain the customer as a committed client. But this is dangerous as commodities, and constraints can also make one stock order be built over another and outflank priority code.
Because of this, my dealer is only submitting (1 ) stock order that reflects how I wanted mine built. That way it is the only one in the system to be pulled when it's time for their orders to be evaluated.
But.. I can't tell you all dealers will do what mine did for me or have the understanding of the process to do so.
Like all professions, there are some that know their business far better than others abd some who are far more honest and ethical with their customers.
On these type of situations you need to find both a knowledgeable dealer but also an honest one.
They are talking to their Ford rep after the holiday to ensure they've done things correctly with all this misinformation out there. If I find out that they were wrong and the bulletin they received on Raptor orders no longer applies, I'll post such.
Otherwise this should be good info.
