I wasn't worried about servicing the Raptor.

I wanted to buy a different sort of vehicle entirely, but the dealerships for those in which I was interested were all two hours away, with no local service available. I've got plenty of Ford dealers here, though.

The Raptor wasn't initially on my list of vehicles to purchase. It was a spur of the moment decision.
Welcome to the Raptor club. I’m still new myself at less than a month. But any dealer will service your truck. You just take it to Ford. I’ve been doing it for years with my Bronco. They don’t care where you bought it.

I have always taken all my cars to the local Ford dealer near me. My wife currently has a Honda Odyssey that I take to them for regular oil changes and check-ups. They're much closer than the Honda dealer and they give you a better value for service as well.

There's no Ford dealer* willing to perform warranty service on a 2025 GX550 Overtrail. LOL

That was the temptation from two hours away.

*not one I can imagine, anyway.

they offered me five grand more than I expected they would for my trade-in...there was a small rebate available
I read stuff like this all the time, and my skeptical alarm always goes off, because over decades of buying about 30 different vehicles this has never once happened to me. ?

They'll make money. It only had 18,000 miles on it, a perfect service history, manual transmission with plaid seats, and it still smelled new. I was going to push as hard as I could for 20, but they opened with 22.

I expected much lower, as the exterior rubber was beginning to look a little past it and it had a deep scratch on the passenger door handle. I know for a fact that dealership strictly follows the Zig Ziggler rules of customer engagement, but he did none of that nonsense. None of them did. ?‍♂

Still, it's more car than it's price tag would suggest, just like the Raptor.

If I had to sell it, myself, I was going to ask 25.

Welcome to the white Ranger Raptor family! White was not my first choice, but the deal I got was good enough to make white right. I have a 2024 blue F-150 parked next to the Ranger in my driveway. Guess which one always looks like it need to be washed.

That's one of the reasons I didn't want a blue vehicle, here. The pollen and dust are constant.

Given my choice, I'd have probably gone for the gray metallic.

I found one on a dealer lot, and took it out for a test drive.

It was better in a number of ways than other options with local dealers, so I placed a deposit to hold it over the weekend. I didn't want to have to drive two hours for service, which is why I shopped locally.

I wouldn't have ordered white, but it looks good on the bodywork, the price was right, and they offered me five grand more than I expected they would for my trade-in. Moreover, there was a small rebate available, for some reason.

So, white it is. LOL

The drawback was no bed-liner, so I had them install the modular unit. I don't have the Ford app, so I couldn't use those points from buying the truck, but I suppose I could have. I'll find a use for them, somehow.

Total price out the door: $55,999

I thought it was a fine enough price, and a good exchange.

So, it's nice to meet everyone. I'm long-winded, but I may be of some use here, nonetheless.

It gets better every day. Can't help but smile every time I look at it. Even bigger smile when I get behind the wheel. Welcome to the Raptor world.

Welcome to the brotherhood !

My wife and I both own white Ranger Raptors. They almost always look clean and the resale is $1500 more with any white vehicle.

I'll certainly give it the ride quality and looks.

The funny thing is, I thought the interior was hideous in all the photographs but, in person, it's quite a nice place to be. Once you discover the ambient lighting setting, it adds quite a bit of drama.

One thing I'd advise everyone to do, here: Pay for a printed manual. It's filled with stuff not easily found, or simply absent, from their website and the infotainment system. Moreover, it's got an alphabetized index, which the others do not.

It's 637 pages long but, if you have that, you're MUCH better off.

If that website that people commonly mention is out of stock, you can get one on Ebay like I did.

Meh, I have black and think it looks best. ?
I just can't keep them clean enough. I've got huge trees in my yard and 200 feet of well-traveled unwashed gravel nearby. I live in a warehouse, and the former loading bay (current garage) won't fit it. ?

Be aware it's for the 2024 model year, not specifically 2025. Not yet, anyway.

It may or may not be of the same quality as the other people are buying here. I found the illustrations a little underwhelming.

The binding was good, but mine showed up wrinkled a bit. Whichever print shop they're using has a very nice monochrome laser printer; but laser printer it is.

I needed it right then, so I didn't bother the seller about it.

Without this manual, you're driving a mystery machine. That much I will certify as true. I initially questioned whether this was the right one, as he lists the wrong number of pages, but it showed up with all 637.

Minus the slightly low-quality illustrations, which are good enough to use, it's as good as something Ford would have shipped with a motor vehicle.

I intend to order another to leave in the shrink wrap, and if that binding shows up with a wrinkle, I'll let the seller know.
