I agree! I’m past the build phase of life. I’ve settled for my Pponk 182 because it’s pretty good at just about everything but not the best at any one thing. But….. I really like the Sling high wing. That looks like a great setup for what my mission is nowadays. I would’t mind getting into an experimental again.

I just sold a Carrera GT3 RS to fund an aircraft purchase. Fun car for sure, but wasted anywhere but on a track day, imo.

There are always more toys.
Wow.

Life goals. Well done.

It's good, but I'm not blown away. How bad was your GT350 if the RR blows you away? Lol

I’ve heard of some oiling issues with the Voodoo which has steered me away, but from a fun perspective, I think it’s hard to beat. High revving V8 > RR. I own a high revver as well as the RR. All around usability the RR wins out, but give me the RPMs…

I love the idea of finally accepting a flat plane crank for American V8s, I wish more would do it. "burble" vs "snarl". The GT350 has it, the C8 Corvette has it, what else? Higher revving V8, better sound, what is not to love

There is a colloquialism that the two best days a boat owner has is the day he buys it and the day he sells it. There is something to be said by that statement, that also applies to road vehicles in some manner.

It looks like an awesome truck and is a solid value for what you get and I really wanted to like it, but after a test drive of three Ranger variants (2.3 2wd, 2.7 4wd, and RR), the RR just felt lethargic. Sure, lots of torque and acceleration, but the handling made you feel every bit of the extra 1,200 lbs it has over the base truck. At 160/6' I felt the seats were too wide as well. So, sadly, the RR just didn't wow me and I bought the 2.3 2wd XLT.
I'm guessing you're the outlier in this comparison. The RR should in no way feel lethargic in comparison.

His phrasing was directed at how the handling felt to him in comparison to the lighter trucks that have very different tires and suspension. I'm sure the RR feels less nimble compared to those vehicles.

Not 'blown' away really, its not a Raptor R or TRX, just a super nice small truck. Bought a fully optioned FX4 Lariat 2.7 for wife, she wanted nothing to do with RR, the one on the lot we looked at had all these side decals and red accent interior so Lariat it was. Have a Superduty for towing the camper but towed a few ton of decorative stone with the utility trailer last season, to see how it would do, did fine. The RR we had looked at was around 5k tow max too.

I test drove all 3 also. I found the 2.3 to be adequate but really struggled accelerating above 50 mph. I'm sure it has to due with the lack of cubic inches. The 2.7 was great, good power. Smooth shifting and riding in the Lariat. The 3.0 put a big old smile on my face from the moment I got it out on the highway. Lots of power, great acceleration from any speed, especially over 70 mph.
My first choice was the 2.7 Lariat but with the price being only 2K less than the Raptor it didn't make financial sense. I bought a Raptor and find it in no way lacking in power or lethargic. Handling is excellent for a pickup truck and much more enjoyable than the FX4 package. The rear coil springs make a huge difference compared to the leaf spring models.

Quicker than most sport sedans or stock trucks and rides nicer. Looks better than most other vehicles. It's been my daily driver for over 2 years and has 31000 miles. I'm sure it would keep up with my 98 Mustang Cobra in 1/4 mi.
