Is the 2.3L engine enough for towing a small travel trailer?

Oh yeah and I towed a ID4 (5000#) in enclosed 18' trailer once again in snow. It was cake.

I have the 2.7 and yet to tow with it. Do have the advanced tow. The reason I picked the 2.7 is the reliability is proven in the 150 for 10 years and with the dual injection. The 2.3 has dual injection but not the track record and parts available.

I think the 2.3 being used in a performance only vehicle, the focus rs, is why it appears to not have a great track record. Those cars were stteet legal race cars and thats how they got used

2.3 will tow it no problem. I towed our loaded 3,000 pound camper with a Maverick with the 2.0 for two years with no problem. Just switched to the Ranger yesterday so I don't have to worry about a 400+ pound tongue weight.

I'm at 3000km at so far half of them where while towing. I've towed up to 5500 pounds in the enclosed trailers with 4 people in the truck and the bed full at night. Drove that for 700km. Full highway speed.

Ah and no WDH no nothing matter of fact I hadn't brake controller installed at first cuz I was towing to the seller of my brake controller!

Don't get the 2.7 a wet belt is asking for futur trouble.
