I have a baby seat on one side. Not sure if you've dealt with those before, but they can be a pain the ass to take in and out. I'd still like to fold up the bench on the other 2 seats.a lot of people seem to want the split but I honestly am not sure why.
oh I have and the ranger anchor points are a pain to use. and I can completely understand why you would leave it inI have a baby seat on one side. Not sure if you've dealt with those before, but they can be a pain the ass to take in and out. I'd still like to fold up the bench on the other 2 seats.
so what was it that you did that you used a split rear seat every time you drove?I utilized the split rear seat on my previous trucks nearly every time I drove them.
I miss it on my 2025 Ranger.
Always nice to have options.oh I have and the ranger anchor points are a pain to use. and I can completely understand why you would leave it in
But what are you putting in the other side that could not rest on the seat?
oh and don’t have another kid

I am having a hard time thinking it would be such an inconvenience for the third passenger to get out when I go grocery shopping, load up the bed, or fight a fire on the truck.....I usually have a passenger in the back seat and they sit behind the front passenger, in the single seat. There is more legroom behind that front passenger, my seat is nearly all the way back. So, that portion of the rear seat is the 60% percent side and I keep many things either under or behind it.
Hitch parts, gloves, umbrella, reusable grocery bags, step stool for bed access, bungee cords, ratchet straps, fire extinguisher, 2 hoodies, flashlight, hand tools, etc.
It is an unnecessary hassle to ask the passenger to get out every time I want to get something from under or behind the rear seat.
Your situation might be different.
How stable are those? They look like they would teeter on the front edge of the seat. Like if I good size dog is walking around.Per item #4

Pictured are two 50% trays.
It has to be because of that rear anchor location. I can't help but think there was a better way to implement it.I am having a hard time thinking it would be such an inconvenience for the third passenger to get out when I go grocery shopping, load up the bed, or fight a fire on the truck.....
My flashlight is in the center console, grocery bags in the seat pockets.

I can think of one scenario that would be frustrating and that is an anchored child seat and a flat tire. That would be a pain in the butt. I noticed that the IIHS safety ratings gave the Ford Ranger a bad grade for installing a child seat. I believe that.
Thanks for the discussion!
They snap on to the child seat connectors in the seat so they do not move. How stable are those? They look like they would teeter on the front edge of the seat. Like if I good size dog is walking around.
Oh, that's pretty cool. They are kinda pricey though. Something to think about for sure. They snap on to the child seat connectors in the seat so they do not move.
