Yep, pack it in boys close down the forum they are just straight up canceling a product line after building all the tooling and doing all the marketing because we have pushed the production date back.
Tomorrow I decide to proceed, or cancel and purchase a sand dune metallic Colorado zr2 arriving at a dealer only 150 miles from me on August 28th. Original buyer backed out.

No ADM.

Raptor was going to cost me $63,000 after ADM, ZR2 will be $53,000 out the door.

Its calling me and haunting my thoughts.

Yea I'll be giving up some premium stuff dropping down to a ZR2 - but meh... I could literally be driving it in 2 weeks if I want to.

I like the outside, but the inside just doesn't do it for me. But if you like it go for it.

I can't say I blame you. I don't think you're really losing much with the ZR2. Yes, the live valve is probably a bit better but those DSSV dampers are supposed to be really good. Every time they push the Raptor back, I'm making a decision if this wait is worth it when I could be driving something amazing right now. Keep us updated on your decision.

Well that is one of the down grades is the interior, but not exactly world ending for me.

Has any of the lucky ones with a VIN and production date (week) received any communication about a delay for their specific vehicle? Curious if this job #1 delay actually impacts anyone.

Yes in several threads we've been talking about delays. Most people got delayed by a week, and then recently got delayed by another two. This lines up with production moving a week, and now two.

Specific information? No. Checking my tracking of my order I have seen my order be pushed back 3 weeks. Was originally the week of 9/25 now its 10/9

Well, I’ve thought a lot about all this & as much as it really annoys me it shouldn’t. I placed my original retail order on May 26th when the order bank first opened, my dealer told me then that it was going to be 6 to 8 months. As of right now it has been just 81 days, not even 3 months, ya it’s been very hard to see others have scheduled build dates & vin #’s. The truth of the matter is that I knew going in that it was going to be a long process & it’s not been easy so far but it’s going to happen eventually. I’ve said it before that the RRaptor is the first vehicle in very many years that made me say “wow, look at that” so I sure as hell am not going to go out & purchase something else that deep down I really don’t want.

When they say 6-8 months they mean no union stoppages and no other production line changes...

You and I have the same attitude. I didn't order a Raptor but I knew they wouldn't start production until Sept and if I have mine before end of year that's good if not first quarter(2024) is good too. Saves driving in all the snow and salt.

We all knew this was going to be a long long journey. Unfortunately with this type of wait time, there is undoubtedly going to be many who drop out. People circumstances change all the time, and sometimes when you need a car now, you just can't wait especially if the timeframe is indefinite.

Another problem with all these delays, is there will be more and more competition the longer we wait. For example, I am kind of liking the new Land Cruiser, and if somehow those become available before my Raptor is even built, then sorry I'm going for it. I have been driving our spare car for over 2 years now waiting, and I am getting pretty tired of it since I basically stepped down from an Audi RS3. So I am a little sick of seeing high schoolers drive nicer cars than me.

Lol... I get that! I sold my last truck 4 years ago and we have been down to a single car since then. My wife's Q5 has almost 150k on it and it's having a LOT of issues. It's time for a second (NEW) vehicle!

Same with me. On one hand it buys me time for my 90 days to hit with Mustang club so I can get Xplan, on the other hand, how is Ford so bad at manufacturing?
