This is the kit from ford accessories.com that is for rangers with BLIS. It is completely plug and play and made by putco. For whatever reason it isn't available on putco's website. The only hard part is hooking up the brake light part of the bar. The kit comes with a t harness to tie into the third brake light on the back of the cab. I installed it on my ranger and can confirm it works perfectly without cutting any wires.

I know a bunch of people have wanted to do this on their rangers but with out a plug and play option out there it’s difficult. If you use the 4 wire plug at the hitch the truck freaks out and thinks a trailer is attached, gives faults for trailer tail lights not working and disables the blind spot/ cross traffic system.

I was able to get my hands on the wiring diagrams from a friend that works at a shop so I could hard wire into the tail lamp harness. If you plan on doing this modification you will find if you pull the tail lamps the harness to them is no help. All the wiring to the lamps is black wires. You need to get under the rear and out each outside of the hitch you will find a harness the you can follow up to the tail lamps I tapped in to this harness

This was a huge help to me much thanks!! Got my favorite Opt7 tri-lightbar installed instead of the overpriced single color Putco light.

Those wires are pretty small. What type of connector did you use to tap into these wires. I am trying to connect a light bar to the parking lights so that these turn on when the parking lights are running which from your diagram is the Violet/Green. But I’m afraid of using the wrong connector and cutting the wire completely. It would be great if you had a picture with the actual wire tap. Thanks for the diagram and instructions for your install.

They are pricey but worth every penny. Especially when you're trying to splice a whole bunch of wires that are close together. You just line up the channel of the bottom splice part of the tap on the wire and screw it down. You're not fighting with big bulky taps. Always connect the tap part first.
