What does rain and fitment have to do with each other?

I see you just received your RR, hopefully you receive positive information and help with your future questions instead of the useless comments like the one you posted.

P.s it’s rained twice and I’ve washed the truck with no issues with the light.
Well my first response was removed by the moderator, so I guess I'll tone it down a bit. It was said in your initial post that some claim the 3rd brake light didn't fit. It rained and you found out soon enough didn't you? As I said...

How can you control the lights or is it when braking only? Can they be used as chase lights with ambers constantly on? Thanks for the photos!

Some said the third brake light doesn’t fit on the 24’, but it sure does- Perfectly.

Nice……………I’m going to do a programmable third light flasher when I get around to it. Got them on hand and like to make the stop light more noticeable.👍🇺🇸

These are nice, how are they holding up? Would be great if it's paintable and get color coded to the body.

I installed the Morimoto 3rd brake light this weekend. I know prior posts in this thread reference that there is not a seal, but mine DID come with an adhesive foam seal. It actually came with two of them (one is a backup). My original third brake light also had a foam seal (non adhesive) - 2024 XLT. Fitment and seal are great. I'm not worried about water infiltration with the Morimoto and it feels very sealed.

It was all pretty straightforward to install, but a few tips:
- Definitely pop the clips to take down a larger portion of the headliner. If you don't the space to reach the plug is very small and you will risk kinking the headliner.
- There is an adhesive patch around the oem plug pigtail. Try to be careful when you peel this back so you can adhere it again when you thread the new Morimoto pigtail back through, and make sure you have enough slack in the pigtail. I kind of messed up the adhesive and had to put some new tape over it. Given the seal around the light, I'm not worried about it.
- The OEM silver screws look bad with the Morimoto black housing. Im going to buy new black screws to replace them. They are 10-24 thread, 1.5" screws. If you are going to the trouble of replacing the light you might as well get these in advance. They should probably come with the light, but they don't.

Light looks and works great. Much brighter and better looking.

I’m a total scrub. If I can do it anyone can. Helps to have a second set of hands, but it’s all very straightforward.

One more thing - mine came with three pigtails. For the Ranger you only use one. It’s pretty obvious which one to use. I think the other two daisychain to that main pigtail for other vehicles but aren’t used for the Ranger.

I'm more interested in that cab camera, but I assume it can't be integrated in the ranger.

How is it centering the assembly to the cabin? I gather you need to center it perfectly with the adhesive to where the screw holes are and if you misalign it a little you might be screwed, or unable to screwed for that matter lol

The OEM brake light has four screws. The Morimoto has two screws and then two guide pins that go where the other two screws would go. Basically makes it foolproof to center it. Just make sure you remove the threaded inserts where those guide pins go otherwise the guide pins won't fit. Its in the instructions, but of course I skipped over it when I first tried. Its all pretty obvious once you are there.

Alright, let's do it lol, im buying it. The stock 3rd brake light looks so out of place on this truck.
