MyView Resets

Yes I think that's it. Any time it's gone to the battery saver mode when I restart my dash is back to trip 1 AND the picture of the truck is not a blue Raptor but a black dimmed out barely visible generic Ranger. Did it today, and this persisted through 30-40 minutes of driving and 6 or 7 restarts (was running errands ) before it healed itself. It has done the exact same thing after an OTA update. I've had a few other random glitches, enough it kind of scares me. But usually simply restarting the truck fixing them.

I only have 700 miles on it, I'm starting to wonder if I can trust it for this summer road trip...

nothing like a nice long trip to charge up that battery! send it.

I have seen all of mine drop my view and some trailer settings at random it seems.
Just takes a second to put it back to my view, but it is annoying.

I would say the my view thing in particular is like others have said, its typically a couple times a week I have to change it back to my view.

Wonder if this is a software issue or a battery issue... I am close to giving up setting it back to way I like the gauges and views.

I put 5k miles on my truck (after it hit 1k miles) driving it from Memphis to Yellowstone and back. I'm about to hit 24k miles, and in 2 weeks will be heading out to Olympic, NP on a 3 week dispersed camping road trip (7-8k miles). I think you'll be fine. Just get an oil change with full synthetic at 1k miles, then send it.

Leaving in the morning. Probably get an oil change in Baton rouge at about 3k.
BTW it lost my settings again this morning.....

I don't daily my RR, drive it probably twice a week, but this has been resetting every week now which is insane to me.

Annoyingly happens all the time to me too, randomly, and I also daily my truck so doubt it has to do with low battery. Even if it does, this is certainly seems like a software bug, there’s no way this is “expected” behavior.

Maybe with enough noise someone at Ford will listen… maybe not

Anyone notice if it happens more often if you use remote start? I first noticed it happen after a remote start.

Have any of you tried resetting your center display to see if this resolves the issue? My dad’s F150 has done funky things after a OTA update. Resetting the center display usually resolves the issue.

thought it was due to remote and software updates but it’s definitely not. Had it happen more times on normal start than remote.

Is this reset where you press both the volume up and next track buttons on the steering wheel?

Yes. That is the reset I use after OTA updates. The my view screen options don’t change on my truck. I don’t know that its because I do the reset, but its easy enough to try.

How about if the view/gauge resets not after a software OTA? Do you still reset the center display process?

The my view and gauge cluster does not power down with this reset. But I am wondering if the reset process stops the computer from changing things around.
Just to be clear, I don’t know if doing the reset will resolve the issue with changes to the my view. Just thought it might be worth a try.

Huh… today after shutting down and starting the truck at a gas station I had the cluster customization reset back to stock. First time I can remember this happening outside of FORScan module resets

And...mine hasn't done it now for a few days... now I probably jinxed it...
