OK, done lurking, signed up today. Over the years I've had a 1994 Ranger Super Cab with a 4.0 V6. 2003 Sport Trac with 4.0 V6 and currently daily driver is a 2012 F150 FX4 5.0.

I find the new mid size Ranger appealing, we no longer need the big F150, but I'm waiting for the 2025 (Tremor perhaps?) so I joined today to start chatting with those who would know what's what.

Welcome, a Tremor might be a 2026-27 model but I expect it to come.

Thanks, kind of what I'd been reading too. I like the Raptor, but if what I've read is correct, the reduced towing & payload, not to mention price, made the Tremor or Lariat FX4 package appealing to me.

Coming to Aus confirmed for 2025:
Order guide for 2025 is coming out soon. We'll find out but the U.S. priority for the Ranger is not great. So, I won't be surprised if we don't get it for 2025. It's all about the F-150 for the U.S. market.

And that's the part I don't get, yes, the F150 is nice and popular, but for a lot of people, myself included, just don't want a large truck anymore. Our daughter is grown and out of the house, so the Ranger is just the right size for us for camping and just about anything else, except perhaps helping people move, but I'm over that now!

This is me as well. I sold my F150 no longer needing to haul much more than air in the box. But I sure miss having a truck. Everybody has one around here, but they are large for sure. A midsize has to be better for my needs too I think.

I had to trade me 150 a few years ago for something a bit smaller. I was having problems getting into the larger truck. I stand over 6', but have a medical condition that reduces my ability to step up. I first went with a 2020 Fusion, after a few months found I had problems getting out. While getting the Fusion serviced, I started looking for a replacement. I tried the Bronco, but it was way too small. I drove the Ranger XLT, but wasn't thrilled with the fit and finish and annual local taxes were too high to consider a Lariat. I literally sat down in an Explorer. It was like sitting in a chair.

I wore out our Explorer. I'm back in the market again, and it looks like the Ranger Lariat is it. I still can't get into a 150. In fact, I need to get electric running boards for the Ranger so I can get in it. I am waiting for incentives from Ford and the interest rates to drop. I spoke with eh dealer yesterday and found the oder book for 2024 was closed. There aren't any Rangers with the options I want in the area, so I'm waiting for the 2025s.

I really irritates me that the Ranger seems to be treated like the step child by Ford. The same features should be available on the 150 and the Rangers. The only reason I don't own a 150 its because I am physically unable to get into it. I have to take a truck with lesser features so I can get into it.
