I prefer the look without the running boards. As soon as I took them off I started getting rock chips. Had to put them back on.

You can see them on my pics I posted. They’re along the bottom of the cab, with the steps I still had a good chunk taken out of the bottom by a rock kicking up.
Here’s a link to the product I bought:

Thanks, I see them now. Is this the door kit you mentioned:

Lower Door Molding

I found another thread on here about the rocker protection pieces. A member stated:

"The rocker protector won't fit the Raptor. I ordered them but returned them. The front fender on the Raptor is different then the fender on the other Ranger models."

Did you experience this? Looks like maybe you just didn't use the front fender pieces.

Yes! That’s the same door kit. I haven’t put it on yet but if I experience even minimal concern over rock chips they’ll be going up asap. I think they look pretty solid overall anyway.

And yes exactly, I left off the front part. If I’m so inclined I’ll cut it down to fit up against the fender but the mudflap covers the area pretty well!

Having HMF make some custom rock rails so I upgraded the mudflaps and added the ford panels on the underside of the cab. I’m considering the ford panels on the bottom of the doors too…

That looks so much better without those factory steps. Obviously you have to deal with the stone chips quickly though. That looks good.

We got a pretty good dumping of wet/heavy snow last night. I had to do some running around today and pulled into the garage and noticed how well the new flaps work - way better than the steps did.

Whose mud flaps are those?

Took my running boards off the day I picked it up. Anyone interested in buying them. I hate to see them just sit there, but I won't use them. Put some mudflaps on. Hope that solves the problem
