Off-road fog lights - removal of housing?

Did y'all ever figure anything out? @adrouin64 I'm planning on paying a shop to 3D scan the stock housing, and producing an STL file. I'm wanting to use some Baja designs squadron S2's and S1's. Id love to work together on this. I haven't had much exposure to 3D modeling for prints, but my background is architecture, so 3D modeling in sketchup/rhino/BIM is up to snuff, hoping to transfer the skills over.

I didn’t end up getting around to taking them out if I’m being honest. If you can get your hands on a scan of that area and the factory part I’m happy to design and prototype something to fit!!
I don’t have access to a scanner anymore, I was going to just reserve engineer it manually but a scan would make things wayyyyyy easier!

I was also thinking of taking on this project and I have a scanner but moving in the next couple weeks so wouldnt be able to attempt until after.

I got a quote yesterday from a shop in town to 3D scan, wanted 400 bucks to scan the part and create an STL file, sounded pretty pricey to me. What do you think @adrouin64?

No idea what these look like installed and the pricing is a bit absurd, but seems to be the only legit replacement on the market.

The bracket is aluminum, but pricing is still ridiculous

I was actually thinking about this today. I think the factory fogs are pretty good (and they are DOT highway legal), but adding an amber fog next to it for really crap visibility and off road driving would be nice. Why buy two pairs of lights when we really only need a second pair that may or may not be DOT highway legal.
