Hey all—

I’ve been lurking here a bit so I figure I should probably introduce myself. I’m Bryan, and I’m currently driving a 2022 F150 PB Lariat “old man truck.” It’s paid for, but when I started looking at what I wanted to do to make it more “mine,” I started thinking maybe I should buy something more in line with what I wanted out of the box. This brought me to the Ranger Raptor. I can’t abandon the utility of a truck bed, but the space/bulkiness of the F150 seems a bit of overkill at this stage in my life. Looking forward to hanging out here and learning tips and tricks along the way.

I came from a 2019 F150 Platinum the Ranger Raptor makes you smile every time you drive it.
Only thing I miss are the ventilated seats

Thinking about making the same move to a Ranger Raptor coming from an 2018 F150 Lariat. Wish the RR fuel tank was bigger (36 gallon in the Lariat), also the aforementioned ventilated seats and lastly the flat rear floor (storage), but I'm leaning towards giving up all 3 of those since they're more conveniences than necessities.

Welcome to Club Downsize. Traded my 2021 F150 Lariat Supercab, 3.5L, FX4, 36 gal tank, 6.5' bed, as it became too hard to park when in the city. The Ranger Lariat 2.7L is perfect for me. Would have bought a RR but Ford doesn't make them in Ruby Red.

Yep, I’ll miss the ventilated seats most. I’m looking at the long range fuel tank option, but not sure if I’ll pull the trigger on that.

welcome to the group.

i stepped down from another brand full size and love my ranger. i loved my previous truck but it was just too big and too bad on gas. 2017 nissan texas titan with the 5.6 v8 that was old school full time v8 (400hp/400lbs tq). it was great on trips for comfort and towed like i never had anything behind it but you better plan on stopping for gas every 250 miles. i enjoyed it for 5 years because its hard to not like a 4x4 full size loaded truck that does 0-60 in 5.9 but the size finally killed me in town.

I too went from a ‘19 F-150 to a ‘25 RR and I honestly don’t miss a thing!…..minus a canopy, but that’s in the works. I also live in the city and can’t tell you how much I appreciate the size of the Ranger. Plus my families dynamics have changed and we’re no longer towing anything. Just need a place for the kids sports gear, Milwaukee Packouts, & the Doberman. The 5’ bed suffices all that and I never give much thought to the F-150’s 6 1/2’ bed I traded in on this.
Plus the RR truly feels & drives like my older 1990 & 1994 F-150’s did size wise and just a slightly wider version of my old ‘93 Ranger X-cab 4x4 that I put 288K on. So it feels super comfortable to me and is so much easier to navigate in the city in my opinion.
Hope that helps.
