Latest update from Vin view. I've been in the rail loading lot 4G in Canton since 3/27 or 3/29. Got new ETA of 4/17-24. Yesterday was 4/29-5/05. Dealer has two other built awaiting-shipment non-raptor Rangers with the same ETA now.
Note on bed reinforcement. Dealer saw the service bulletin. Suggested waiting on ordering the brackets until delivery because my initial delay could have been to have them installed after the bulletin was issued. No warranty install unless I get a topper from Ford? Too late, they already have them at the dealer. Can get a refund if I don't need them.
Plus, Ford incentives changed again today. No details though.

Seems like a lot of us are getting built statuses and are just awaiting shipping. I have a similar ETA as you, but going down to CO. These delays are one after another, but it seems we should be getting a good amount of rangers out this month from Ford.

My blend date was 3/13 and in production on 3/14…no update since 3/14 on the tracker. Ford chat today indicated the truck was secondary produced as of 3/14 with an eta of April 8-14. Not sure what secondary produced means.

2. Major Milestones
Throughout the lifecycle of an order, these are the most common milestones you should be concerned with. These milestones may not be up to the minute in any tracker, and may be up to several days behind. It's not uncommon for a dealer to take delivery, while the trackers show "In Transit" or "Awaiting Shipping".

1. Order is in - You've placed the order with your dealer.
2. Unscheduled - Ford knows about the order, but hasn't assigned a VIN or a build date.
3. Order Confirmed
   • This can happen days to weeks to months after you place the order with the dealer. It depends on your "Priority Code", "Dealer Allotment" and current "Constraints"
   • Ford has accepted your order.
   • Typically you will get a VIN (from the dealer) and a build week or build day assigned.
   • In Order Processing is another status at this point.
4. In Production
   • Typically happens 1 week prior to your scheduled build day.
   • You Window Sticker will soon be available, if not already.
   • Sub-statuses
     • Sent to Plant - Ford has sent your order to the plant to prepare for your build.
     • Produced - Order has been built
     • Sent Offsite - Order needs to go offsite for installation of components not installed at the plant: bed liner, wheel well liners, tonneau
     • Released to Body Company - Getting one of the above things installed
     • Origin Received - Truck is being stored in a location while it waits on the next step.
5. Built / Produced - Your order is built and complete. Internally the status will show the order has been released and is awaiting shipment.
6. Shipped - Your truck is on its way to the dealer.
7. Delivered - The dealer has taken delivery of the truck and will soon be ready for you to pick up.

No call from the dealer, but it's there. It's a stormy day in Kentucky today, so tomorrow is better anyway.

I'll quote myself. The trackers states that my dealer has it. Ford Chat says that the dealer has it. Dealer says they don't have it yet.....

I'm planning on keeping this Ranger for a long time. Hopefully when the time comes to replace it, I'll remember to NOT order my next car. I'll just wait until they show up on the lots. The waiting and miscommunication has gotten old.

So I just spoke to Ford Chat, they told me my truck is currently sitting in lot 59 waiting to be shipped. I googled lot 59 and apparently this is Ford “black hole of waiting to be shipped” trucks. Multiple threads of trucks that sat in this lot due to QC holds and issues which take months to ship.

There has been a tracking update, and the ETA has moved out a bit. I show the status of your 2024 Ranger is Awaiting Shipment and Released at Ramp 59, Dearborn Truck, MI. Your estimated time of arrival (ETA) is currently 4/24-4/30.

I apologize if this has been discussed prior but I now have my rail shipping info. When I call the number for CSX it asks for the car initials. Can someone tell me what that is? I’ve tried every possibility from all the tracking data I was given but nothing is working. I’ve see the posts on her about how to track, but car initials is escaping me and is not listed on the info I was sent. Thank you

To track by rail you would need information that only your dealer can get for you.

This may work for you so long as you have the rail car info.
