Hey everyone!

We’re exploring a performance exhaust system specifically for the Ranger Raptor, but before cutting metal, we want to hear directly from the people who live with these trucks every day.

A quick survey (2 minutes, tops) helps us understand what you want; volume, clearance, materials, tone, everything.

For context, AWE’s been engineering and manufacturing exhausts in-house in Pennsylvania for over 30 years, with systems on everything from Porsche Turbo to Jeep Wrangler 392 and a lot in between. All built from U.S.-sourced T304L stainless, all emissions-compliant, all designed for tone and longevity. Not noise for noise’s sake.

If you want to help shape how the Ranger Raptor sounds, here’s the link:

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, as far as I’m concerned, you make the absolute best exhaust systems. I ran your exhaust for my 2019 Ranger, and I can’t count the number of times I was asked about it. I would love to have your exhaust for my Ranger Raptor. I have two main concerns that I see with any of the exhausts systems currently on the market. One, they offer no gain in performance, and two, they cost 2-3 times what they should because of the active valuing ford uses on the RR exhaust. If you can give me something that sounds great, improves the performance even ever so slightly, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, you can sign me up right now!

Wow, that's a pretty incorrect statement there bucko. Some people just don't see any benefit to Ranger Raptors, or Maverick Tremors. Besides, I usually fly Alaska, WAY nicer flights than Delta. :like:

That analogy is like comparing apples to tacos. 😂
The Ranger Raptor is a performance vehicle that differs significantly from, in every aspect, form the base Ranger truck. A Maverick with the TREMOR package is a handling upgrade and some stickers; not even in the same ballpark.

For me it would be to still keep the electronic valves and make it more high clearance. I already hit the muffler underneath several times and the tips coming out of the back will eventually get crushed. On my tacoma before I cut the exhaust right after it went over the axle where it dumps downwards. This made it where I didn't have to worry about hitting the exhaust.

I've listened to many of the sound clips users have posted. It's always interesting to see the variety of tastes. Some I love the tone but it's obnoxious loud, some sound like annoying neighbor with the tinny raspy GTI..

My wish list would be
1. The Quiet mode to actually be Quiet!!
2. A deeper more mellow tone. Stock it sounds like a civic with a fart can, not pleasant. Different settings change the volume but not the basic tone.

I know it's a V6 but I have owned V6s with wonderful sounding exhausts. Mitsu 3000Gt for example. But... Im just going to learn to love it. Cuz I love the truck!

Make it sound like an Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. And make a version for the 2.7.

It is funny how the stock exhaust in quiet mode will drone on the highway.
Yes, that's really my biggest complaint. Quiet mode should be quiet. That way you can mute that riding lawnmower sound... ;-)

Any updates or time to market projections? I’m excited for this one. Particularly, a higher flowing and quieter quiet mode. The stock exhaust in quiet mode looks extremely restricted with the valves closed. Couple that with a slightly louder Baja mode and it’ll be perfect! Looking forward to seeing it and hearing it!

I'm part of the consumer group that wants a quieter exhaust and a better sounding moderate/loud exhaust with the option to switch between both. Fully independent exhaust banks with equal length headers with and x-pipe and resonators and exhaust valves that can switch between quiet/loud would have me sold.

The v6 Maserati Ghibli exhaust is my target: it sounds great when you want to hear it, it also has a quiet setting that is actually quiet when you don't want to hear it.

Any news?

I built an equal length midpipe loop for the stock exhaust and it’s pretty good now with the FenFab downpipes. But I’m still interested in what you all have cooking. I enjoyed the AWE system I had on my 5G and like the SwitchPath system my brother has on his modded gen3 F150 Raptor.

Got the survey completed.
Thanks for asking .

Would love to see tucked turndown dual exhaust like seen on the GMC AT4X .

I went a custom route with some larger resonator cans and some custom pipe work and turn down tips to get quiet mode quieter, tone dealer, and cleaner look.
Space is much tighter under the RRs compared to that AT4x but we got it close as we could.

Used 3” turn down tips on one and 2.5” turn down tips on the other.

These are the 2.5” turn down tips and 2” longer cans.

Overall happy with the results on both trucks.

I love that exhaust, especially how it is right in line with the tow bar.

White looks really good with the black accents, flares, and no raptor sticker.
