This is nothing against the raptor or the raptor owners, because I would gladly own a Ranger raptor. But, I would prefer the raptor be its own forum, since so much of its mods and stuff are so different than the other trims.

Every time I search for a mod I’m interested in I find one, only to realize it’s for a raptor and the thread doesn’t apply to the standard rangers.

There’s orally a little jealousy involved. Not gonna lie.
We do have a Raptor section on the Forum, but it has always seemed the Raptor is so popular on here, it sort ends up all over.

Lariat here. Owned 4 Rangers over the last 35 years. Last truck was a 2001 Dakota; mid size truck with 4.7L V8, fun and pulled a camper all over the country. Just got my ‘25 Ranger a few weeks ago after ordering it in end of October. Wanted comfort, bells and whistles. Sport package 4x4 w/ 2.7, locking differential and tow package. One big factor was 4ft between wheel well - haul plywood laying flat; no other less than full sized truck has it, although haven’t tried it yet. So far I absolutely love the truck!

100% that 48”+ bed dimension is a mid size game changer. Exclusive to Ranger in the mid-size segment.

‘It was the only reason I could transition some of my full size company trucks to Mid-size Rangers.
‘Not only4x8 sheets of material, for us it was being able to set standard 4ff pallets of product in the bed on the floor and close the tailgates.

Glad to get a confirmation it’s actually a functional thing. Getting a spray liner in 2 days and was assured it would only reduce the space by a few millimeters 👍🏻

it’s about 48.5” even with the spray in liner. It’s really nice when hauling sheets of plywood

i guess I hadn’t comsidered how much I would miss the backup camera with the tailgate down

you would think with these short beds there would be an elegant solution already implemented as the odds of hauling with the tailgate down are high.

Lariat 2.3L FX4 Tow. - for a few reasons…the upgraded equipment I felt was worth it, also, I found mine “NEW/OLD” a ‘24 that had passed around a couple dealers, new with 150 miles, but a year old.
I bought in DEC, 25- basically got the Lariat package for free, (paid less than current XLT).
none of that to say I wouldn’t have a Raptor, I just didn’t think the jump was what I needed for the price. Especially considering the deal I found…

Yep, we can haul these package units in the bed of them when needed and they are basically 48” square.

Who is doing your spray-in? Linex got troublesome with many Kansas installers so they switched to Phoenix. Might still be a Linex in KC or Topeka. I have Phoenix UV Premium and it has the same properties as Linex. Looks and protects great. Rhino premium has a good rep. Doing the undercoating and rustproofing at the same time? If under 1000 miles you get a lifetime warranty.

TruckWorks. Appears there are several around the state. Lifetime warranty. Looks like the product may be from Linex since when I google map Linex I get all the Truck Works around the area. Didn’t plan for the undercoat or rust proofing, not sure how effective/beneficial it would be. Have heard mixed opinions over the years. Thoughts?

I had it done all at once at Truck Works ICT in Wichita. All day process that way but with Linex or Phoenix you can drive it home same day as it dries fast. Might be a little sticky until it cures. I was mixed about undercoating and rust proof but with the stuff they put down on Kansas roads I think it is worth it. Had zero rust in four years with the last truck. Expect the same this time. It does smell for a week or so until it cures completely.

I went from a 2015 F150 Lariat to a 2025 Ranger Lariat, decided not to wait for the 2026’s. I wanted real leather seats and the performance led headlights, That are dropped on the 26 Rangers. My build date was Nov 12th 2025, bought on Dec 7th, it was on the lot for 16hrs. Now that is fresh. Only issue has been getting use to the smaller truck, been in F150’s for 20 years. New truck handles great, love getting in and out of parking spots and will fit in garages in Arizona, which we are moving to.
