Driven Super Dutys for 20 years was getting tired of driving them around town, wanted something sporty that I can take on the beach and have fun with. I am lucky enough to be able to keep my '20 Tremor SD as it is paid off. Still will use on longer trips.

I owned F150s for 30+ years. My 89 year old dad can no longer drive and I am his only source of transportation. It was getting to be a struggle getting him in and out of my 2020 F150 Raptor so I decided to downsize.

Even though the Ranger is smaller than the F350 it's still not a small vehicle by any means. For zipping around town and easy parking there was nothing like my VW Golf TDI or my Jeep TJ. The Ranger is a bit easier to navigate than the F350 but not a whole lot easier.

If we're going somewhere where I know parking will be tight I still drive the TJ and it's definitely paid off, it's only 13 feet bumper to bumper.

I drive long-bed supercrew F350s every day for work. I feel like the Ranger maneuvers like a go cart in comparison. Although I do miss the 1999 Mazda Miata I learned to drive on. That was amazing to drive in the city and to park.

Same width as my prior full-size truck, a 2005 Tundra. My old truck was a tight squeeze on my hunting access roads. Why would I want something wider? Parking is easier as is zooming through traffic in town. The other day I was zipping through an old town with tight streets. Saw an F-150 Raptor slowly and uncomfortably picking its way through the same streets. I will miss the longer bed on the Tundra, though.

One thing I notice is even though the RR is nearly as wide as a regular 1/2 ton due to the wide body, the fact that the wheels stick out doesn't change the door location. It's still much easier to park in a practical sense because your doors are in the same place as a regular width ranger, so you can open them more easily in tighter spots.

I've never needed a full size truck. Had an '01 Ranger (manual transmission, so fun!) for a company vehicle, then had an '05 Sport Trac that served my purposes fine. In 2015 the were no midsize Fords available to buy, so I bought an F-150 and dealt with it always being a little too big for my needs. I looked at the Rangers when they came out in 2019 but I didn't like the Euro design of them. Finally was happy with the redesign, plus laying sheets of plywood between the wheel wells was a big plus. Last year I planned to buy a new Ranger and sell the F-150 to my niece's husband (his truck was a heap). but I got rear-ended on the highway which totalled the truck, and that forced me to make the swap earlier than planned.

Upgraded/downsized to a '25 Lariat and I'm very happy with my decision.

I had a 2005 super crew lariat. Beautiful truck and the interior was like a caddy to me. However, I got a combined MPG of 13.5 and for the last few years at my work place I had to park in a parking structure that required like a 8 point turn to get it parked. Then I retired.

I actually went into the Ford dealership with the intention of buying a Ford Lighting. Dadgum!, that thing is BIG but it was beautiful. However while I was imagining myself driving the electric tank down the road my eye caught a new RR on a delivery truck.

Now I drive an American made badass shadow black ranger raptor that I get somewhere around 16-18 mph while also getting many admiring stares and can park it anywhere even though I really don’t have that problem anymore.

I’m still interested in an electric truck and will probably look very close if Ford comes out with a EV Ranger but I seriously doubt it can be as cool as RR.

Regardless, I’ll never go back to a full-size truck. Just don't need it anymore.
