Howdy - first post!

Has the 2026 update been released by Ford yet? I am taking delivery of my new XLT today? and want the dealer to do the button push for the tune so I can keep my warranty. They are telling me it doesn't load so it is either no 2026 update yet or they are doing something wrong. Also, any things to watch out for that they could be doing wrong? I gave them my login info and the tuner is registered to me (but brand new otherwise).

Thanks

The tune for the 2025 model year is not even out yet. I would not be expecting the 2026 anytime soon.

Does the 2024 tune run in the 25 models?

probably not because i don't think the 24 had the 2.7 yet. i think the 24 models were either 2.3 or 3.0

No. It has to go through some regulations approval every single year or something like that, even if there is no change between the year. We must wait for the official release from Ford Performance but it is taking an unreasonnable amount of time this year, don't know why.

I would say so if they are an entire year behind. Makes me wonder why I bought the tuner if it is going to be more than a year before I can use it. My truck took over 18 weeks from when I ordered it also.

I have a 2024 xlt 2.7L with the tune.
And how is it honestly? Do you feel it's worth the money? I've read it's not a huge improvement over stock compared to the 2.3 tune.

Prior to my 2025 2.7 I had a 2022 with the tune. I was really impressed how it woke up the engine and transmission programming. Im running 91 octane on my untuned 2.7, but it doesnt feel that much faster than my old tuned 2.3.

Those who are saying its not a huge improvement over the stock 2.3 must not be using it to the fullest. Mine is a noticeable improvment on my 2.3

I mainly got it for the transmission shifting. It shifts much better now. I can feel a little power increase. I'm happy with it

I have been pining Anthony at Ford Performance for a year now for their 2025 2.7 tune. No fault of his own, it's just not released yet. I have given up asking "when" and resigned myself to a program of mental counseling for patience and understanding.
