Ford, who makes the #1 selling vehicle in the US for the last thirty years, is famously bad at making vehicles that people want. People waiting three years for a Bronco definitely support your conclusion. People buying Raptors with $10k, $20k, $30k markups is all the evidence you need.
I waited 8 months for my '22 F-350 and there are still models with constraints that can't be ordered today.

People waiting three years for a Bronco proves my point, not yours.

People paying $10-30k over MSRP for a Raptor is because Ford isn't making enough of them and demand exceeds supply. That proves my point, not yours.

Thanks for the excellent post.

You can have the last word, I'm done with this back and forth.

To half the crybabies on this forum, any response other than "unga bunga ford bad, why they hate me" is white knighting for Ford.

God forbid people who have some insight into engineering processes and supply chains weigh in with reasonable discussion. Only 15 minutes of hate allowed.
Some people just really like being miserable

What still disturbs me is that this truck was introduced to the rest of the world over TWO YEARS AGO during the worldwide pandemic. So the parts constraints , strike, and factory switchover to the 2024 model can only go so far as legitimate excuses for the slow product rollout here in North America. Incompetence may be too harsh but Ford has botched this royally. I will continue to wait but might switch to a TREMOR if it is offered in the interim. At this rate I would not be surprised if my order placed in early June changes to a 2025 model.

Yep, Ford has a pretty good record in botching new product rollouts. Always seem to be a cluster F*%# and it takes them a good while to recover from the disasters.

Checked with Ford Chat, mine is still in the "Order Processing" status. I wish I had a date to push.
Same here. Latest update was Unscheduled/Clean. They said it was approved for production. Whatever that means!

Ford has prioritized EVs, that is the reason everyone has to wait for the vehicle they really want. The people that bought EVs realize they suck and now they are filling up on dealer lots because they are A) expensive and B) uglier and less exciting than the gas trucks.

Meanwhile, Ford has to slow their roll on EV production because turns out if you try to force EVs down everyones throats people will hate them. I refuse to buy an EV in principle now, never mind the fact that the batteries explode and burn hot enough to melt concrete.

So yes, it is mis-management that is causing all these order delays. Ford made several poor business decisions, stopping car production, going full EV (you never go full EV) and raising prices too high.

Cutting back on ev production is a start, lets see what happens now.

This.

For the last 20 years, Ford has tried to predict future market trends while at the same time trying to set them. When they announced they were moving exclusively to trucks and SUVs (except Mustang) in the American market, they were depending on gas prices staying low. Since that didn't work, they are going "mostly" all-in on EVs, just as the market is starting to realize EVs aren't the answer to next-gen automotive energy.

In the meantime, they still want to dabble in the performance/niche market, but their main focus of resources is elsewhere, thus we wait.

This wasn't the case in 2016 when the GT350 became mainstream. I was one of the first to place an order in September of 2016, and the car arrived in February 2016, a reasonable five-month wait that encompassed two major holiday seasons. While Ford certainly had issues with the GT350 rollout (ADMs, inconsistent communication, etc.), scheduling and production wasn't among them.

Wow you ordered in Sept 2016 and then went backwards to Feb 2016 and got your car. :D  We know what you mean.
