Basically the title. I'm currently running 30mm offset wheels, swapping to 0mm set. The stock being 55mm offset, would the difference of going to 0mm offset affect the weight distribution enough on the suspension to warrant doing an alignment? If so it's probably not much, just seeing if anyone has any expertise on this. Stock suspension, stock KO3, RTR EVO 6 17x9 30mm to RTR EVO 6 17x9 0mm.

The proper way is ALWAYS ALIGN after wheels and tire change. After all, they are a system along with the suspension. It might not be done if you want it, but it should be done to prevent premature wear of tires IF something is wrong. Your call...

My off-road shop that also does alignments where I got my wheels said not required, I have 10,000 miles on mine no unusual wear on the KO3s. that said I will get it done when I get new tires.

Changing wheels and tires normally does not require an alignment.
On all the vehicles I've made substantial changes to wheel and tire fitment I have ever done it and never imagined needing to.
BUT the difference between 55 and 0 on a light duty highly tuned suspension like the RR is huge. Might need one.
But more importantly it will more than likely seriously affect the suspension and steering components. Look forward to tire rubbing, contact in unintended places on compression, tie rod failure, and premature wear on ball joints and bearings and steering rack etc.
Zero stars. Do not recommend.

0-55 is 2". that is kind of alot. i would not be worried about the alignment so much as it rubbing.

someone else tried 0 offset wheels, and i forget what size tires, but it was a no-go. they had to return the set up

With the wheel being moved out so far, it will have substantially more leverage against the suspension. So basically the same sized bump will be magnified.

35s on 0mm is a no go without some modifications. I do not run the front crash bars as it is with my ADD bumper thus I have plenty of clearance.

After extensive searches, most people on 0mm offset wheels and stock tires do not rub or have issues, a few claim to have a slight rub on md flaps at full lock, seems like we'll be ok.
