yea, theyāre probably not the most budget friendly option out there. But personally Iām disgusted with the hack job antenna mount I constructed for my gmrs, so the brake lightās main purpose for me is that it centers my antenna up high, converts to nmo so I can throw on the midland ghost antenna and the Baja lights are my first non auxbeams so Iāll get to see what all the fuss is about there. Iām quite proud of my diy āsleeperā chase lights I threw together for about $120, which was my budget 5 months ago.Looks real nice but the price seems a little high ?
So I had it installed, didnāt do it myself cause I also had radio mounted in the center console and they had to run the antenna cable through to it. I do know they did have to drop the headliner for that specifically. Wish I could be more helpHey @Goldylox22 my brake light finally arrived! Did you drop the headliner or just pry it open enough to hook up everything like a lot of others have successfully done? If you did drop it, what if any, video or instruction did you use? I havenāt pulled up the QR code yet but I know the YouTube guy flaberdoobin made a video where he dropped his. Iām just trying to get my ducks in a row before I start on the install.
this thing is heavy duty, and solid!
No worries! My CB and GMRS are sandwiched in my glovebox and Iāve already ran coax to the back passenger bulkhead grommet. So Iāll make it work, I appreciate you clueing me into this brand⦠stout construction and methodical wiring from what I can see.Wish I could be more help
Of course! Iād been aware of swarfworks for some time and when I went to get a third brake light these were brought to my attention by my Raptor run group. High praise from them and the fact the two bed lights point down into the bed instead of needing a third Baja designs s2 sold me. Spent 4 days out in Utah running it and it worked great! No worries!
