Had my window recall completed yesterday. Also had them look at the issues affecting the screen where it just goes blank, no radio etc and then will come back on after several minutes. Was told Ford knows about the problems with SYNC4 and that they are working on it. Makes you wonder why they even allowed it to go public with all the problems.

New recall as well. Anyone whose ranger was built between June3rd and September 4th will be recalled because of front suspension issues.

WIll be my last Ford for sure.

Ford working on it means nothing to me. Been told that before and at times takes longer than i owe the vehicle. Dont hold your breath. Good news is that there's apparently a OTA update coming in the 4th quarter, which is now, but again.....not dependable info even if it's right from the Mothership.

there is a recall for the power windows not stopping and reversing if someone's fingers get caught so they need to reload the software.

This is a pretty knee jerk reaction. Every. Single. Manufacturer. has recalls for new and old cars. Cars are complex and due to consumer demand, cars must be iterated on and changed yearly instead of perfecting designs. Software development is hard and if you think any software you use today doesnt get patched, I have some extremely shocking news to tell you.

If you are that easily disappointed you are going to continue to be disappointed as you move to other brands.

you may want to go back to sleep. I don't like spending time for hours at a dealership because of their crappy workmanship, if you do that's great. I have better things to do with my time and I can afford it.

Who spends hours at a dealership? They will pick it up or you can drop it off, most have shuttle services. I'm glad you make decent money, but instantly complaining you'll never buy something ever again due to some trivial issues is pedantic.

Go buy a Toyota, I'm sure you will be happy with that.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, Toyota announced it is recalling about 381,000 Tacoma midsize pickup trucks in the U.S. because a part can separate from the rear axle, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall covers certain trucks from the 2022 and 2023 model years.

Maybe a Tundra?

May 30, 2024 — Toyota and Lexus engine problems have caused a recall of about 112,000 vehicles because machining debris may contaminate the engines. The recall involves 2022-2023 Toyota Tundra and 2022-2023 Lexus LX vehicles with engines that may not have been cleared of machining debris when the engines were built.

Yea, I read about the recall for the front suspension recall. Mine was built on August 25th. We will see when we actually get the recall notification. I believe Ford stated that it will begin notifying us beginning on October 28th.

I had same blank screen issues. I use Apple Car Play and I suspect that there’s a communication issue between That and the Bluetooth interface. Lots of bugs that need an update on.
‘I had the window recall update applied but in doingso the dealer found that the headlight sensor was not working on one side. Then after driving home from the dealer, I put my foot down for an overtake and…nothing . I realised that the Speed Restrictir was now set. I don’t touch that setting at all, always off. It takes two screen s to turn it off and you can’t do it whilst driving. Engine had to be off to reset it back to my “Always Off”. I called the dealer and they had no knowledge. ( what updates completely reset the settings, or more likely this particular one?). It would be a cruel joke if this was done manually in the shop!
