Yeah, the traction is unreal for anything with rubber tires.

Drove Top of the World last September in my former Wrangler and am impressed you did this with the RR. Curious about the hitch slider you mod'd and used. Can you post a picture or two of it?

You can kind of see what I crudely cut off. I was hoping this would prevent me from dragging the exhaust tips, it didn’t, but it helps. I will eventually cut the tips back because I have already ovalized them. I also think this helps prevent dragging the bumper on steep drops.

I might have to get me one of those rockslide hitch sliders for difficult trails. :like:. I don't have any plans for bigger tires and a lift because my build is more Rally / Baja focused for high speed, acceleration and braking, but I can enhance its trail capabilities even on the stock tire size / suspension with little things like sliders, high clearance front bumper eventually and that hitch slider when on the trails. For my uses, that's a good balance between the two.

Thanks @pasali. Nice work. Those cut-outs are what I had suspected given how the RR's chain loops are vertically oriented. Got to suspecting you had if from a previous Jeep and repurposed the slider--I would have done the same. Still looks useful.

When I was [in my Wrangler] in Moab this past September with an ol' Army buddy in his RR, we used my drop-down hitch to help keep the RR's bumper and exhaust off the ground. Still got one of the exhaust tips, but it's not noticeable.

I may used the same this coming May, a D-ring recovery attachment, or some sort of hitch slider.

They make some with a large wheel at the end, if I was to do it again, I’d probably go that route.
