I’m considering the Procal tune for my RR but I haven’t found much info about how it affects the Normal drive mode. Lots of comments about significantly improved shifting in sport mode in addition to the extra power, but I find that the normal drive mode suits my driving style better 80% of the time. However I do find the shifting a little slow and sometimes lacking intelligence in Normal.
What I'm hoping for is that the Procal tune gives me the extra power in Normal mode and sharpens up the shifts a little and improves the shift logic/intelligence but without raising the shift points and aggressiveness like Sport mode.

I’m also slightly unclear as to whether none, some or all of the additional power and torque is available in Normal mode, or if the Procal only delivers the additional power in sport mode. Logic tells me it would be available in all drive modes, but I want to be sure. If most or all of the additional power is delivered in Sport mode only then it’s probably not for me.

If anyone has any information about this I would really appreciate it, as I’m on the fence as to whether the Procal tune is right for me.

We have two RR's now my wife's 25 RR w/Ford's Procal tune and my daughter's 26 that is completely stock.

Where I notice the vast majority of the difference with the two is from mid range on up. Down low the power feels relatively similar but once you get past the low end the one with the Procal pulls noticeably harder where as without it tapers off and doesn't keep pulling nearly as hard. Shifting wise the one with the Procal shifts better in normal mode but I wouldn't say it's a significant difference but switch to sport mode and I think it is much more of a noticeable difference.

Others may have a different perspective on it but having driven both as recent as yesterday that is my experience with a RR w/Procal VS RR without.

The procal will raise shift points some in normal mode. Adds a good bit of power and torque. If you live where it is hilly it will downshift to a lower gear more on the highway. I recently went with Goosetuned. It has more power and he tuned it to have close to the stock shift points. It will hold 10th gear like stock now on the highway to help a little with fuel mileage.

Agree on all points. Have mine for two weeks.

In normal mode I would describe the transmission shifts as more seamless and efficient. Those odd, hard shifts (maybe 3rd or 4th gear) before getting warmed up are less common, and much less awkward. The power increase in normal drive mode is noticeable in the mid to high rpm range and in my opinion absolutely worth it even if you don't use sport mode. Just get it!

For what it cost and the increase you get from it I completely agree it is easily worth it. Although I'm not so sure if I was doing it all over again I would go with the "Goosetune" setup for that little extra bump up in power.

I haven't looked into this to confirm but my dealer where we bough both of ours told me I can get something from Ford that will allow me to remove the Procal from my wife's RR and transfer it on to my daughter's RR. If I did that I would contact Goosetune and give his setup a try.
