I think the smart caps look pretty damn good, but I think matte black would get way too hot in the places I camp (Colorado, Utah, New Mexico etc.).

is there a part number for the rubber lock covers? mine didn't come with those and my locks were difficult to get the key in even before it was installed. I sprayed some abus ps88 which did the trick but those covers would be a big help

While your video is real, the pics are very clearly photoshopped.
That's what photographers do, they take photos and then they edit photos. Were you born yesterday?

You can't even spell "Chronically" correctly, you might want to sit this one out. ?

Nice job being a complete jerk. I see you took the time to place your asshattery on display! Well done!

Thanks for the complimentary words. We have had some customers do some DIY fixes, including adding white vinyl wrapping to the roof panel, adding (using magnets) insulation to the interior of the roof, and also using magnets to mount fans to the interior of the cap. Not sure if those would be something that would you, but others seem to find them useful in combatting the heat.

No, we don't have a part number. However, if you send an email to our Customer Support Team ([email protected]), they'll ship you out a set of those lock covers at no charge.

It's listed as an accessory on Ford Accessories site. While convenient, I want to call out that Ranger build on the Ford Accessory site... It's LEGIT! That's the best looking build I've seen for a non-Raptor Ranger, and it's on Ford's site.

Why does this photo make the cap appear to match the roofline much more closely than photos of the cap installed on a customer's truck? It appears that the top of the as-built cap is upwards of 4-5" higher than the ranger's roofline. Other applications have a much better match than the ranger. Any insight?

It must be a sort of optical illusion; possibly something to do with how the cab domes and is lower in the back than the front. You'll see from the attached image, the cap sits slightly higher than the highest point of the truck cab.

The cap looks like it was designed for a different truck.

Thanks for that feedback. Actually, the SmartCap on this Ranger was designed (as all SmartCaps are) specifically for the model generation and bed length. It may seem different than what you may be used to, as the look of our caps is a bit more rugged and angular than fiberglass' lines. If you have an opportunity to see one up close (we'll be at all the Overland EXPO trade shows), it will give you a better understanding of what truly goes into making a SmartCap.

yo this is so it. The vibe the box. I got a soft topper and im about to ditch it. I didn't want the fiberglass and didn't even know your company existed till way after buying a ranger. I always wanted to get the defender with no windows since I live in an inner city (theft proof) but then use a @Wolfbox to be able to see out my back.
