Rangers in the wild

My son was coming home to corpus christi from omaha on christmas day, i believe, and he sends me a picture of a ranger raptor he saw in the wild since we hardly see them. I thought it looked familair but couldnt place it...... till looking at posts today.

Anyone else see other guys out cruising the highways of america.

My son was in a white 4x4 24 stx with black rims.

This pic was somewhere in oklahoma.

I am used to buying vehicles that I never see, I tell myself it's because of superlative taste. I usually have something of a target fixation once I own something though and I'll eventually see a couple.

I am shocked at how few new rangers I've seen in general. Not as shocked I've never seen another RR in the wild. After test driving the competition, it is puzzling, though. The amount of Gladiators and Tacomas is crazy, I don't understand Ford's positioning with marketing and production numbers and all that.

I started seeing Rangers as soon as I watched some YT reviews and decided against buying a new Tacoma. Took delivery of my new '25 CMG Ranger Lariat in December, and now I'm seeing more of them each week.

Loving the new truck. The V6 is a nice upgrade from my 2016 CRV.

I know everyone says cannibalization is the reason Ford doesn't market the Ranger, but it's getting better reviews than the Tacoma's and seems like it's a good time to eat into Taco sales for those that really don't want an F150 or Maverick.

Regardless, it's nice to see more of them popping up!

I see more Raptor R's than Ranger Raptor's. F150 Raptor's and Bronco Raptor's are daily occurrences.

In 2018, I finally got the Tacoma I was lusting after. Loved the body style. But then I needed a bigger cab and got into an F150. Never looked back.

In 2023 my wife traded in her Bronco Sport because she wanted something more… ended up in a Ranger Tremor. While the body still wasn’t aggressive enough for me, I was amazed at how much more comfortable it was than the Tacoma. Recently she upgraded to a 2025 Ruby Red Lariat and it’s perfect! Aggressive styling, still very comfortable, and love the v6.

Long story short… it was marketing that got me in a Tacoma but it was the truck that kept me in a Ranger and I tell everyone how much better it is. Maybe that’s the “marketing” they are pushing for.

I have never seen a Ranger Raptor in the wild. My dealership said they sold one. Only other one's I have seen are the Sport version. I am the only Lariat FX4 around here.

That's CC1999's RR. I've got an ARE MX on order for my Shelter Green RR.

I've only seen one RR in the wild, a Shelter Green a month before I bought mine. But I think I saw almost every pre-gen5 Ranger ever produced while passing through Front Royal, VA! They were everywhere!

I saw three other black rangers heading down I-75 South this afternoon north of Saginaw. I also saw a Shelter Green RR heading North on US23, I see him nearly every time I head up north.

I drove from Colorado to Virginia and back over the holiday break and saw ONE 6gen Ranger.
