It was another great year for the Raptor Rally - October 24-25. My wife and I attended the first Raptor Rally (001) outside of Salt Lake City in 2024, hosted at the Raptor Assault facility. This years event was a day-and-a-half in Lake Havasu, AZ. Ford shared there were 400 trucks and around 900 attendees. The vendor area had grown from the previous year. If you have a chance to travel to it next year, it's great fun with our Raptor peers. It's fun to see hundreds of Raptors cruising around town, getting more and more dirty as the weekend carries on.

Dunno how many RRs there were. I would guess it was less than 20 out of 400. But it's always fun to see one.

Maybe too early to know, but where is next year's rally?

Maybe NV, CA or CO. People from TX and FL traveled out and described they have very little space, in-state to off-road. That surprised me. I just assumed TX had some great areas. But there's very little BLM land there.

Good turn out. Underwhelmed with the vendors but the offroading section was fun

I was thinking about making the drive from FL with a couple other guys but just couldn't make it work this year.

Hopefully they make it bigger and better for next year would def be interested in going , will be paying attention for the date and place to drop.

They're hoping to have it at the same place next year, but they're expecting to double the number of entries allowed (from 400 up to 800). They wanted to discuss it with the city after the event to see if they will be able to get more space.

I agree on the low number of RR's there. We only talked to a handful of RR owners at the booth. The turnout and weather was amazing, though.

Texas Raptor Runs Base Camp is this month. Should be a pretty epic weekend as well. Lot of the same guys but in the Texas Desert.

Curious???...why there's no similar organized/sponsored Events in SoCal

There's a plethora of great OHV spots, deserts runs, etc.
Luv to do so, ain't got time for a multi-day trek, long ass commute to TX or UT.

Closest thing we have in Ohio is some old fire and logging roads down around the Columbus area lol.

The dunes at Silver Lake Michigan is ONLY....about a 6hr drive from where I live, cutting that down to about 4hrs if I say at in-laws up at the border.

Wish I could do the ones out there in Utah (maybe one year I'll make a vacation of it and to the Raptor Assault School), but the dunes at Silver Lake should be pretty fun with the raptor rallies there, plus all the trails in that area.

BTW, every time I see a RR WITHOUT the factory bead locks, I just hate the appearance of my OE lockers that much more....lol.

Functionally, I have zero issues with them, obviously they have an ideal off set for the truck, no issues with durability. Just hate the appearance but alas, the only RR's on the lots in my area all had bead-locks optioned, at least in the colors I wanted.
