I use plain Jane string. Cheap easy and works
For large graphics that turn out to be hard, I use 3M auto adhesive remover

Used one of these. Some have said dental floss will work. This device seems a little more stout and made it very easy. Warmed up with hair dryer, cleanly removed badge from adhesive with string device, and then adhesive (still warm) just rolled up like a cinnamon roll. A little adhesive residue was easily removed with soft cloth and alcohol.

Thanks. I would think dental floss would be too fragile - hell, it snaps trying to floss my teeth half the time. I wonder if fishing line would work (wrapped around a couple pieces of dowel for leverage). The string on this product you shared has a braid, which would provide a tiny bit of abrasiveness.
From my experience, floss would not have been strong enough. Low test fishing line would probably work. The cutting power of the little Amazon device was terrific… Like butter. I’d send it to you if I could. Removal and cleanup was less than ten minutes. Love jobs like that! Poetry.

I’m sure this is an old thread, but not sure I know how to find it. Had previously posted removal of vinyl decal pictures. Went totally stealth (exterior) yesterday by removing tailgate Raptor badge. Mistake?

Why buy a Raptor and start stripping it to make it look like plain ranger? I don't get that at all.

I don't think anyone is guessing - those who know, will know regardless of badging. Those who don't know, probably won't be giving it any thought...

I get not having the side stickers and graphics pack (they're not for everyone), but removing the Raptor badge for me is a step too far..?
Agree. Side decals maybe, tailgate badge shouldn't be removed.

some people like to not attract attention. thats how i am, sleeper mode is always on for my vehicles. i don't need criminals looking at my truck or car if they learning something is worth money to low life body shops and hackers, like the gen5 tail light issues.

It's not about the looks (at least the badging and graphics, which I think are gaudy), it's about the performance.

I hear you guys. Tough call on Raptor badge. Even thought about resale value (though badge can be reapplied). Also hoping I got a good one and will drive Raptor beyond most of its resale value. I bought it for the capabilities I learned about in large part on this Forum. As far as making it look like a “regular” Ranger, I could have lived without the red accents on the interior, as well. Loved the monochromatic interior in Lariat. I like red better now that I have muted exterior. It’s all good…. We are lucky..

De badged my WRX back in the day and had a hard time selling until I replaced it all and it was a pain to place it all back correctly. After that I decided it’s not worth it.
On this truck specifically the word Raptor is literally the only thing anyone is going to see and think it’s something special because they’ve heard raptor before. Otherwise it’s a generic truck no one cares about. IMO anyway.

I removed mine since I got the truck, better to be under the radar where I live, since badging increases the chances of having the truck stolen.

In the end, I removed the decals on the sides of the bed, but am keeping the badge on the tailgate.

In truth there are a ton of definable features that make a Raptor a Raptor, e.g. the unique flared fenders, the Raptor stamped into the running boards, the hood "air scoops," the whole interior, the engine, the shocks, etc. I find it near impossible for this truck to not be recognized as a raptor by any future buyer just because it's missing decals or a badge. Not that it's probably an issue for me; I keep my vehicles. I still have my 2006 Mustang and unless this truck turns out to be a lemon (so far so good, but mileage is low) I'll keep it as well.
