I fairly certain that my truck has been built. It has active modules, has a tear tag number, and shows up in my FordPass App as a vehicle I could activate if I were in it. So why send this?

If it's sitting, so they can do quality checks, then just say so. The next part talks about how they "want nothing more than to get "my" Ford up on the line and start assembling it." I'm sure Ford does want these on the road, but I think mine is sitting in a parking lot.

Has pretty much everyone "in production" received one of these emails?

Also. Remove the blurb about checking the Window sticker when I have a "moment" if there's no link and it's not available.

I got the same email a few hours ago. Same build week.

I'm with you - Pretty sure it's built. Those automated emails are meant to be helpful but they are only confusing.

It is an auto email, which is why it was sent.

Yes, it’s sitting in a parking lot with the others. No, Ford won’t move it on the tracker because there isn’t an OK to Buy yet which is also delaying release of window stickers. Consider this your official notice.

I've noticed their email and text alerts are about a month delayed. Mine was scheduled in mid December for week of February 26, but I didn't get the email or text until January 26. So maybe you were supposed to get that email a month ago lol.

This isn't an email for you and your truck specifically...these are automated emails with a specific trigger. Sometimes there is a delay in that trigger coming through. Like when the online retailer I bought something from, and they ship UPS. UPS tells me when my package arrives at my store. The retailer sends me note 2 days later (after I have already picked it up) saying it has arrived.

Sometimes tech just takes longer 🤷‍♂️

Y'all reach waaaayyyy too much into every little email

My 2024 Ranger Lariat was ordered the 29th of May last year. Yes I have an order and VIN #. The build date slipped six different times. Yes there was a strike that certainly impacted production and yet I was hopeful each time it slipped I would receive the truck maybe in January. The build date was set for January 8th and the Ranger is in and has been in production since, yes, January 11th and it is now February 1st.

I did contact the dealership and here is what Ford said when he reached out for information.

Ford - “The 24MY Ranger has not achieved Okay To Buy (OKTB) yet, meaning Ford has not authorized the sale of these units to dealers and customers. The Michigan Assembly Plant is reviewing early production units for potential quality errors. This causes units, like the referenced VIN, to be put on “Quality Hold”, when in reality, there is most likely nothing wrong with the unit and it is just being prepped for final delivery to your dealership.

The delay on Ranger has been extended due to the striking of the plants late last year and preventative quality holds to ensure the vehicles are not shipped with poor quality.”

My thought is that it is sitting in a lot awaiting that final inspection but I have little hope it will be here in February. So tell me what you think? BTW I know how many miles are on the odometer and how much gas is in the tank and what the tire pressure is because my dealership could look at those stats from my VIN #. Oh yeah it is in a lot somewhere I am certain.
What's the mileage on it, after a certain mileage it considered used so I would want a big discount.

Probably won’t see any of these trucks sold until the reviews are out in march.

Unfortunately there are going to be a few guys who's trucks will be randomly selected for quality insurance testing. I had an 08 ranger that came with a sticker from Ford stating this and that Ford racked up 100 miles of testing on my new truck.
