Yet another (albeit small) thing that makes me shake my head “this is a $60k truck?!?”

Seems like there should be a little plastic cover so I don’t catch the connector while cleaning the back window.
also, the plastic trim piece that runs the width was unclipped from its brackets most of the way across…(this is the first time I’ve really given the behind the seat area a look…)

Was mine just “built on a Friday” Or is this just the quality we generally expect these days??

Mine is the same... I think it is just another instance of Ford saving $0.05 on each vehicle...

This is a company where "quality has been Job 1" since 1981. And yet year after year, they lead in recalls.

Yes and yes. The hood lift kit from redline is awesome. Recommended. Mine was only 40k so I don't feel as cheated, I stay away from upper trim levels.

But yes all jokes aside, rear window connectors on cars are pretty much similar but they're always out of reach on a back window over a package shelf too.

It's a mix of normal factory assembly flaws and cost-cutting design choices on modern trucks. few owners report loose trim clips straight from the factory, while exposed parts reflect how manufacturers cut costs on hidden areas.

I guess you shouldnt clean your windows then It is sad that a 50K Ranger has such "cheap qualities". I bought an XL model so that I can use it as a truck and not care. I got 4 wheel drive, side steps and carpet as only options. I wish I had a defroster and side defroster mirrors, but since I see how they are attached and I have 3 active recalls right now , I'm glad I didnt buy a Lariat with all the electronic gizmos. They will proably fail
