BTW, if you are OK with white stitching, MB3Z21611A08DC is widely abailable on eBay at around $48 a piece..

I searched for the Australian low profile ones and could only find cloth - no leather. I'll be in Europe end of the month and look for some at a dealer there.. I assume they cannot send parts overseas, so, if I can find low profile or folding leather ones with orange stitching, I will order there and bring home. Will report details here when done..

A few days ago, I saw a thread about rear seat folding headrest options from the 5G and Bronco models and decided to go with the 5G folding option. It is an exact match to my leather trim and stands about 3/4in taller than the original. The 90° fold works perfectly to allow the backrest to fold flat without hitting the front seats. Better than that, they are on sale and there is an additional discount on top of that. My total cost was $111.26 with two-day free shipping.

Headrest
Part Number: MB3Z21611A08DC
Qty: 2
Estimated Tax: $0.00
Core Charge: $0.00
FedEx Ground
$65.45
Just beware 2025 ebony faux leather interiors use black stitching. The headrests in the first post appear to have contrasting white stitching. Not sure what stitching is in 2024 models.

Yes, however I ordered the part number stated in OPs post. They are folding. I assume you are talking about the more compact style as pictured in another post.
The part number OP lists is for "leather", these are cloth. Keep in mind there are multiple options for folding second row headrests. Cloth/leather, light/dark, super cab/crew cab (not sure if those are actually different). And they all have different part numbers.

I was sold on these until I tried the rear headrest from my brother-in-law's new 2025 bronco for fitment purposes. I like how they fold past 90° and rest against the seat back instead of sticking out. I didn't do a lot of research but the one's that I did find were pricey.

now you tell me…..

but I think it would also interfere with folding the back seat down.

apparently this is like the ford ranger, only available in older bronco trims,.

from what I am reading and hard to find?

Nice! My solution was to remove them and not allow passengers in the back seats.

Great work, Ford engineers!
They block what little view we have out the back window too!

I'm sure this has been asked and answered already but I didn't see it scanning the 4 pages of this thread. Does anyone have the replacement part number for black "leather" headrests (ie. match a Lariat interior). Thanks in advance.

Literally answered in the very first post…

so I believe the first letter is color and second letter version.
Thanks. So even when Ford says the headrest doesn't fit a '24 Ranger it really does (MB3Z-21611A08-DC).

It appears that these headrests still partially obstruct the view through the rear window even when folded down at 90°. If true, do you guys who have this setup have any thoughts about it? I like that it looks like they match the ebony interior including the stitching.

honestly, my rear seat is down 99% of the time. The only time it is up is for me to get something under the seat or carry passengers.

When I look out the rear view mirror or back window, the lower part of the rear window is a view of my tonneau cover.

I imagine if you are smaller in stature, you might have a different view.

So even though the tilting rear view head rests poke up a bit, they really don't obstruct the vision when the rear seat is up.

And if it does, just fold down the rear seat. Because the nice thing with these folding rear headrests is that now you can do that without having to move the front seat forward

LOL! I'm the opposite and I prefer having my seat up.

The main reason I want to switch the rear outboard headrests out with a folding version.

Thanks.

The obstruction is far less than with the stock headrests and hardly noticeable in the rear view mirror.
