This solution will allow you, with a T Harness. Take power and signals from the main vehicle harness (that powers rear tail lights) to control everything to avoid any issue with the Trailer Sensing system. Donāt worry Iām with ya. Youāll have all your BLIS and full range of safety sensors with this setup.Awesome!
So just to be sure, they do understand the goal at hand is to power redundant lighting without triggering the auto trailer detection system that shuts down all the safety sensors.
There are kits out there to run redundant lighting, I am running my lights with one now, but it powers off trailer plugs wiring and taps in on the back of the bumper plug, triggering the auto trailer detection system and shutting off all my safety sensors which I have to OK to clear my info screen every time I start the truck.
I programed in a trailer profile for my head arch rack lights in order to get my Blind side monitor system back on, I programed in a 3ft long trailer to get them to work as much like normal as possible.
